Swift To-Do List 9 by Dextronet.com is a powerful and feature-rich task management software that remains simple, clean, and intuitive -- quite a revolutionary concept! With Swift To-Do List 9 Home, you will actually begin to enjoy task management, making you more productive and efficient in a painless fashion. All of your tasks, reminders, and notes are neatly organized in one location, accessible by a simple and intuitive interface that won't have you pulling your hair out.

Everything in Swift To-Do List 9 Home is organized into a tree, with over 140 icons that you can use to represent your To-Do lists. Everything can be reorganized using drag and drop. Recurring tasks alleviate the need to enter important things more than once. Plus, everything can be cut, copied, and pasted, or printed and exported for those of you who are on-the-go. You can even drag & drop emails (video demo) inside Swift To-Do List to create tasks from them!

Best of all, Swift To-Do List 9 Home is small enough to fit onto a thumb drive, so you can take it with you on the road for use on any computer!

NEW! Free Swift To-Do List Mobile Inbox app for iOS and Android allows you to add tasks when on the go. To use it, use menu File - Advanced - Enable Beta Features in the desktop version to display the Sync tab, and sync your database first. This will create your sync account. The sync feature also has a web-client available at https://webapp.dextronet.com. Note: Full-featured mobile apps are in the works and coming likely this year. The beta Sync feature doesn't sync attachments and recurrence yet, but it should be finished by the end of the year as well.

Awesome Swift To-Do List features include:
  • * Reminders
  • * Sticky notes
  • * Recurring tasks
  • * Rich notes (yup, manage both tasks AND notes!)
  • * Spreadsheets
  • * Create tasks from emails (Drag and Drop)
  • * Attach files/emails/links to tasks
  • * Drag and Drop EVERYTHING around with mouse to organize it
  • * Unlimited hierarchical to-do list tree with icons to organize your to-do lists, lists, memos and spreadsheets
  • * Subtasks (Pro-only)

Serhan K. Yasar Compared to other editions, the Home version looks just like a demo of a "potentially" good program. Only Basic? What is in basic? Other versions have hundreds of necessary functions ANY task program ought to have to being with. Why so stingy with the Home version? Why couldn't a few more functions be added (even if less capable than higher versions, like "only 2 subtasks per item, compared to unlimited in...", etc.)? Then the Home users, having had experience with other functions and been able to assess their benefits first hand, could be more inclined for an upgrade, rather than just reading and dreaming about them. I think it would a more marketing savvy way to "lure" clients to the rather expensive editions. See for yourselves: http://www.dextronet.com/...e/editions

Quill Pen Is it just me or do others find the trend toward icon-based navigation overwhelmingly frustrating? It's akin to learning kanji symbols only on screen glyphs aren't universal but instead often peculiar to each version or "upgrade" of each app.
Thirty icons here, 200 there, 25 on this window and 140 on that one and suddenly your brain's exhausted from the pregnant pauses as it spends more time translating glyphs peculiar to each particular software program or app and trying to remember button and menu placement and whether red/green/blue square/round/triangular means ON or Off with the myriad of non-standard GUIs than actually navigating and accessing files. Throw in the Windows ribbons and I want to scream "STOP.IT!"
Not ranting about this program, just venting, although I've no time to try to learn 140 icons for text-based To Do notes.
Please return to your regularly scheduled podcast... if you can find the ON button. :))

Gavin Phoenix I'm actually a user of the Pro version. Have been since version 7 and have upgraded to new versions as they come. It is a very comprehensive task manager and offers much more than free ones I tried. There is a lot to learn but it is worth it.

My only fault is that the Android application that was promised as part of my upgrade to version 9 has never materialised.

Stephen Kreyling I would upgrade my ultimate software if the costs would come down. The software use to be better priced, but has gotten really expensive with this new version.

H. H. Warning for all existing swift todo list users having installed version <9! I´m exisitng customer of swift todo list ultimate 8 and just wanted to try the homeversion 9 - swift todolist overwrote my existing ultimate 8 version without any warning and by this turned version 8 ultimate to version 9i home. The worst thing is, that I now can not access my previous existing database. I tried to reinstall version 8 ultimate, but now swift todolist will force me to buy the upgrade to version 9 since it refuses to open my previous created database (since it tells that the database was created in a higher version (althoug I nothing had changed in version 9, only version 9 home had taken my 8 ultimate database). @developer please tell what to do to get the database of ultimate 8 working again H.H.

Matt Hello,

Realizing your end goal is for us to purchase your very costly 'Ultimate' version...

To-Do List:
1. re-work home budget
2. pick up second job
3. buy Swift To-Do List Ultimate
4. start saving for version 10

Sorry, I couldn't resist :)

Does your 'Professional' version have many of the same 'teasers' included that your 'Home (Demo)' version has? For example, links and buttons that don't actually work according to their label, but just point to an upgrade.

Also, have you considered deleting the green 'Upgrade' reminder arrow (top-right), since there already is an upgrade button included in the 'Help' menu?

Thank you.

D Rogers I have been using Swift to do Professional 8, for two years now. It is a wonderful program that you can customize. I have it doing exactly what I want.

That being said, I still think it is overpriced and is marketed in a way that makes me feel uncomfortable,, with the features and three levels of software. Just sayin.

A. Goyal Developer should follow the hotmail model of giving software for free to create a good enough base of people who will then be willing to pay for reasonably priced upgrades in future because they like the software and see the value in paying. More people using it = less cost of software, we both win. Just my 2 cents. The Home version is very basic with no features per their comparison matrix. ToodleDo offers so much more for free, including syncing between devices, all for free.

PeLi Don't criticize this fine software, it's free today! The home version has a lot of features and for a home user like me that's enough.
Every year mister Novotny gives the home version for free so I can upgrade.
And it's portable too!

If you don't like the software: nobody forces you to use it!

I admit, for me it is to expensive to buy or upgrade but I don't need a Pro version.

Thanks mister Novotny for this great software!

D Rogers We can say anything we want about this software, good or bad. Especially those of us who have paid for it. That's what this board is all about. If you have a problem with that, then don't read the posts.

jtsoukaris The version offered here is buggy, at least under windows 8.1 update 1, 32 bit. I cannot create a database. When I click on the "New Database ..." button a new window (for the user to select where to save the database obviously) half opens and then the program freezes.

Totally useless for me.

edit: same thing when I try to create a database through the File menu.

Peter First I agree with Serhan, only when you look at the details do you see that the "Home" version only has what are termed as "Basic Features" which I am guessing you can get with lots of other freeware options. So even though I downloaded this, I don't think I will bother installing

Jiri Novotny jtsoukaris, the version offered hear is the same version as offered everywhere else. As no one else reported this issue it will have to be specific to your system. You can either contact our support, or if I was to take a wild guess I would say that this can be caused by Windows Defender or another aggressive security software. Try disabling it and test if you'll be able to create a database then.
