I can understand the advantage of running Special Bundles over a holiday period when even the site owners want some time off, but would not wish them to appear too often. Seasoned visitors get very choosy about what they spend their money one, especially in these cash strapped days, so are unlikely to be so eager to dig out the plastic. New recruits are much more likely to find it attractive

I haven't used any of these applications. Can anyone advise if this bundle is worth the money?
Thx!

Whether the bundle is worth it or not is YOUR choice alone as it is a personal one. I could rave about an app that I find indispensable, then you'd hate me for the rest of your life as that would not be your opinion. I actually enjoy researching the offerings here and making my own mind up. I have been known to buy without trying (well, almost) if an app appears that I have felt the need for for ages.

Thanks for the comment.. it's much appreciated. I think I asked before I clicked - I did some searches for customer reviews on the biggest software apps I will use, and I'm quite happy I decided to buy.
Thanks for the reply, my dear!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
P.S. I NEVER hate or get mad at ANYONE for giving me their personal opinion. Life's just too short to be that thin-skinned. I am the one, after all, that asked for said opinion.
Thanks again!

Did you ever get an answer as to why you received the additional charges to your checking account?

No, but I was contacted by Avangate (Bits du Jour's payment handler) who are looking into the issue. I think it had to do with how the payment is processed (the sum of the bundle is 'reserved' and then the actual payments are withdrawn per product) which makes it appear as a double charge in a debit card.
I'm a regular customer at Bits du Jour and I maintain my confidence in the site.

Hi, Alexander. I just now found out the same thing. You have to look at the details of each transaction on PayPal, and I can now see the breakdown.
Thanks to all for even reading my dumb question. LOL

I'm EXTREMELY ticked off about this bundle! I had to uninstall Bit Defender, and both NTI Shadow programs, because upon installation I got dozens of the blue screens of death! After much work and working in Safe Mode, I was ble to uninstall those 3 programs and my PC finally appears to be running okay now. But now I'm afraid to install anything else I got in this bundle. The only things I've installed are the font package, Movavi, TuneUp, LastPass (which is NOT very user friendly), Aurora, EarthDesk & PostWorkShop. I have not even attempted to open/use the other ones, and I'm terrified of other future blue-screen errors. Bit Defender was a HUGE disappointment because some of the file names I would see whiz by on the blue screens pertained to Bit Defender, so that's why I uninstalled that (along with the NTI Shadow programs) so I wouldn't lose my whole PC.
I wish I had never bought this stupid package. I won't make that mistake again. I'll just wait for sales of individual products that I want. Also, on the Movavi download, you are repeatedly prompted to upgrade or buy a higher-end product from the software maker, but I've had enough of these shenanigans.
Anybody know if I can get my money back? This was an abject disaster for me.

To those considering this bundle (or any other BDJ offering), I would suggest that you go to the site of the programs you would plan to install, and download trial versions and install and test those on your PC or Mac, That way, you can see if the programs are compatible with your computer setup BEFORE you buy the bundle or individual programs. In this way, you can avoid as much as possible cases of buyers remorse when programs turn out to be incompatible. I almost never buy a program or bundle without testing on my PC to make sure there are no problems that can't be worked out.
Secondly, before you give up on some of those programs that don't work out entirely, give a call/email, etc., to the support center of that publisher. Chances are, they might be able to help figure out the problems, and you can go on to enjoy the program.

Read the comment from Ruth Marie. Her comment does not sound like "overwhelming response". Most comments I have read have been negative. When will this end and normal offers begin?

Well, that's nice in hindsight, but when I decided to make the purchase, there were only 12 hours left in the big clock countdown in the upper right corner of the BDJ page. How wrong THAT was, right?
I was at work at the time of getting the email about this deal, so I couldn't go to the various websites to test the trial free versions of each app, so what I did was Google and read reviews of the individual apps, and trusted the promotion on BDJ of this bundle.
Now I have only 3 of the apps loaded on my PC, but I DARE not try to install any others. I stayed up for 2 hours that night trying to fix my PC after the 2 NTI Shadow apps and Bit Defender all 3 created dozens of sequential blue-screen-of-death errors. I sat paralyzed trying ot fix this because I was certain that eventually the blue screens and automatic rebooting cycles would end and my PC would be dead.
I am really sorry I spent this whole $50 on this "limited time" deal ~cough~ and get quite agitated when I see these "due to an overwhelming response..." messages that I want to pull my hair out. Turns out I actually had more than 12 hours to decide... more like 12 days it seems now. I wish I could turn back the calendar because I wasted my money. I just wish I could get some of it back.

I apologize that you're having trouble with a couple of the applications. However, please keep in mind that it is absolutely impossible for a developer to account for the infinitely variable user configurations. Let alone 10 discrete developers!
Out of all the bundles sold, we can count on one hand the number of technical complaints we've received. A pretty good ratio as far as we're concerned.
Of course, that doesn't make your experience any more pleasant. I'd be happy to put you directly in touch with the vendors for the problem apps if you'd like. Simply shoot me an email:

I have purchased this bundle earlier. I installed bitdefender and saw a blue screen of death many times. It was a nightmare uninstalling. As I am confident in regedit, I could remove all traces.
I purchased the bundle as it also have "Earth Desk" program. I am using the same. I like it.
