It used to be that the term 'information management' only applied to companies, conjuring visions of humming server rooms and entire departments dedicated to making sense of the facts and figures. But in today's world, we're all so busy, and we have so many things to track, that we all need our own information management system just to maintain a measure of control over our personal affairs.
TreeDBNotes Pro is the information management system we've all been waiting for. Comprised of a powerful yet intuitive personal database, word processor, calendaring system, contact list, ebook authoring utility, and password management system, TreeDBNotes Pro is here to help you visualize and organize everything in your life.
Let's start with the interface. TreeDBNotes Pro showcases your information in a clearly defined, tree-structured hierarchy, with each and every note represented as a node. For each note, you'll have the full support of all of the standard word processing functions that you're used to, such as font and paragraph styles, tables, images, and more. You can also use any of the included templates to create a note that's already customized to your needs.
With the Contacts Manager, you can easily filter through your contacts to find people quickly, plus you can export entire lists of contact emails and addresses with just a few clicks. Never forget your passwords again thanks to the convenient password manager! And for your time management needs, take full advantage of TreeDBNotes Pro's appointment and reminder system. If you still have some free time on your hands, you can even create and publish a self-executing ebook using TreeDBNotes Pro!
It's easy to get started with TreeDBNotes Pro. Information for your notes can be imported (and exported) from TXT, WRI, RTF, TreePad, CSV, Excel, Word, HTML, and Palm Doc (PDB, PRC) formats, plus many more!
I tried this out a couple of years ago and was very impressed then. This is a newer version and should be even better. The version of TreeDB that I tried was able to do anything any of the other information managers out there could manage and it was very stable. My only reason for not purchasing it had to do with the UI. Also they have a great forum where someone actually answers your questions. The price is and was considerably less than comparable applications and with the deal price it is a great buy. If you don't have one of these or you need another one, I highly recommend this one.
I've been using TreeDB Pro since v2.0, still I tried other PIMs, Outliners, yet TreeDB Pro suit me best. In latest version, TreeDB has strong searching feature, strong richtext editor, better print/preview of the tree, and complete ToDo list feature in betatest, yet light on resource. Recommended, especially with this discount :)
The new version of TreeDBNotes 3.4 has built ToDo manager.
The program works very well and I like it very much. Only part I don't find useful is the password and contacts and that is due to the fact that I use a palm pilot and this information is all ready in this program. I was looking threw your help section and could not find a answer to this question. Do I need one or two copies if I want one for my main system and one for my laptop?
How compatible is TreeDB with Vista and Windows 7?
Can the layouts for pages on which info is entered - such as Contacts - be changed by adding, deleting, moving fields? Or are the layouts fixed? Can one create new templates for organizing other types of information - e.g., books in a collection? or is it restricted to the templates that come w/ TreeDBNotes?
1) TreeDBNotes Pro compatible with Vista and Windows 7. 2) Or are the layouts fixed? You can use predefined fields and custom fields (unlimited). 3) templates for organizing other types of information - Only in Notes manager.
i downloaded the program for test the Contacts and Passwords manager in it and its a trial, so why is Contacts and Passwords manager disabled so we cant test it ?? do i realy have to pay before try. those 2 pictures of Contacts and Passwords manager are not enuff, i whant to try before buy.
I've been trying to buy the software for almost two hours. Everytime I finish entering my information and the page tries to connect to Plimus I get this error message: The connection was reset
Is their any chance you will add the option to export to a web page that makes the tree available? I know treepad has that option but it does not export tables very well when converting it to a web page, maybe because everthing is originally in RTF format. I am hoping to find a better solution for this and hopefully your product will offer that solution down the road.
Hansjorn, you need to create "contacts" or "passwords" tree (main menu). Or try to open our demo file. Mervyn, try to use our RegNow mirror (without discount) Paul, you can export notes to HTML (main menu). In the future we plan to make function: "Export tree to Web site"
When I try to add a ToDo tree from the main menu on the try-before-you-buy download, I get a Field 'OwnerType' not found - Native error: 30115. Neither do I seem to be able to insert a hyperlink to a URL. Any ideas?
Ability to customize (fields that appear, layout, etc.) is important to me. Unfortunately, TreeDBNotes only offers fixed templates at present. The Custom tab offers very rudimentary options. The Overall User Interface looks quite good, so I (and I'm sure others) would be very interested if you offer customization in the future. Is this something on your roadmap? Thank you.
David, we need more info about your problem. Please contact to support of TreeDBNotes (main menu/help/) Bob S, can you contact with me by email (main menu/help/)? I need more info about your suggestion.
Posting here will also email MyTreedb.com directly.
