Vanessa N Just wanted to say, having tried this out, this is a really nice, full of features program, in a graphical interface that's slick and colorful and customizable - there are event, task, and calendar panes you have have as floating or auto-hide....

I had also emailed them with some questions on minimum requirements, and seemingly a ton of suggestions (since I'm looking for the perfect full-featured app that combines calendar/task management/diary log/journal) and had made various suggestions on strengthening tasks, pointed out a couple of other apps that were portable on USB (they'll consider this too), and perhaps a more detailed notes/journal area, and they were receptive (and quick) about responding to my email. I also asked for a deep purple theme (my favorite color.....hey folks, can we add red, too? Red and purple? :)) and they said they would work on it today.

So they are quite responsive. Thumbs up and I'll be buying this next week....

J. Moore How are future updates handled costwise? Once I buy this app for $19.98 today, do I pay the full price going forward on a yearly basis? Whenever a new major update comes out? How?

Dan Chartrand After you buy VueMinder Calendar, you'll receive free product updates, including major versions, for the lifetime of the product. There's no yearly fee or any other type of subscription needed.

That's for users that buy now. We may change this policy in the future, but anyone that buys before we change the policy will be on a list of people that can continue to receive free updates.

LM7 -- I just purchased VueMinder Calendar today, and I noticed that instead of being given a license code in a separate email, the full installer already contains such a license code.

When updates are available, will it be necessary to download a special installer as well, or will it be possible to simply update over the existing installation? I'm asking because I want to know whether the extended download service is necessary to handle updates. (I don't need such a service, as I back up all of my program installers in multiple locations.)

Dan Chartrand Updates will install over the existing installation without affecting your license.

However, if you want to install on additional computers, you'll need to install from the original download (which can then be updated to the latest version after being installed). It would be a good idea to save a backup of the installer.

Dan Chartrand Tasks, contacts, and notes can be imported/exported between Outlook and VueMinder. When VueMinder imports, it checks if any items have been previously imported. Those items will be updated, rather than duplicates being generated.

We're planning to make this syncing more automated in a future release. It will be similar to how events are currently synced between VueMinder and Outlook.
