I bought goalscape at the last bitsdujour offer in 10/2010, and I really find that it is a very useful piece of software, which I can recommend. to other potential customers, espeecially with the reduced price.
Because of the lifetime upgrade policy, it makes sense to buy goalscape now - and with this supporting the good work of the company - even if some features are still on the wish-list.
The support of the company was always reliable and fast for me, and even within the last 3 months more features of user suggestions have been implemented

Nevertheless I really hope, that some more features - which have been asked from more users- may be available next time.
e.g.
1. various colours for colouring background (not only fonts) of the
pie-piedes
2. highligthing of text items one searched for in the resulting
page (s)
3. perhaps time-tracking - feature
4.b,c The suggestions of Thomas L. (but with the possibility to decide if one want to show the icons or not)(different "view-modes"
b) an Icon at the pie pieces that show where there are comments and/or attachments
c) pictures / symbols that I can put inside the pie pieces

An additional question: which versions of mindmanager are supported (using mindmanager 6 didn't work for me, leads to error messages)?

Is there any limitation to the number of subgoals I can create? To do what I want goalscape to do, I need to be able to drill down five or six levels.

I thought I recall that the software could be installed on two machines, Since the software is activated on line, is your database set up to allow installations on two machines?

Thanks for your warm recommendation! I am glad that you enjoy using Goalscape. We pride ourselves on our quick response to support calls and it is good to know that you appreciate it.

The recent Updates included lots of functionality requested by our customers - especially the integration with other tools and the provision of templates (available for download on http://www.goalscape.com/...te-gallery). Since Goalscape is now integrated with MindManager (v9+), customers can also download MMAP files from other sources on the web and Import them straight into Goalscape.

Most of the other features you mention are already planned or under development - watch out for more news.

There is no limit to the number of goals you can create - or to the number of levels you can use. Bear in mind though that if you build a really big goalscape with a million goals (10 level 1 subgoals, each of which have 10 Level 2 subgoals, each of which has 10 level 3 subgoals... and so on to 6 levels) it may be a bit slow to navigate!

And yes, you certainly can install and activate the software on two machines concurrently: each activation is done online and registers in your account on our database.

Mitchell Kastner I purchased the license, downloaded the software, and activated the program. I am like a five year old opening up his Christmas present. I am giddy.

I am writing an article medical privacy under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and goalscape I am using Goalscape to organize my research notes on the many cases I have read. For this use, I find it clearly preferable to outliners and mindmap software. The ability to drill down quickly and then pull back quickly is incomparable. Yes I know about focusing on one branch in mindmappers, but that feature still does not give you the exploded bird's eye view of a central topic from which you can retreat to the next level by double clicking on it.

I recognize that Goalscape sets up a finite amount of time, which can be modified up or down, in which to complete all of your goals. That in no way limits the amount of topics I can cover in my research. Some topics are just larger than others just as some goals are more important than others. For each, you can create an unlimited amount of slices in the pie.

All the outliners and mindmappers I have used---and I have used many going back to KAMAS under CP/M limit the creation of one note per branch/topic. By contrast, Goalscape allows you to create an infinite number of separate notes per goal or subgoal. For my lega research, I can create a separate note for each case that I relate to a topic,

Finally, Goalscape's output to Word is simply gorgeous. I would have no concern at all in sending that output to a client as is.

Mary Wilson I wanted to thank you as I enjoyed trying the program out. The program is very user friendly and I had no problems making a basic goal scape of my life. Found out when printing it out that in addition to the little chart, it prints out each of the sub categories. I will enjoy using the print out. Unfortunately, due to the price, I can not get it. Maybe in the future when I have more money as I do like the program. The video's that I saw where also very enjoyable and think it is a great program. If I could afford the program, I would, but it is over my personal budget.

The Goalscape iPhone app is still scheduled for Q1 and may be delivered in the next few weeks. The initial implementation will be a companion app for operational task management. It will sync with Goalscape Connect projects on the server to display current goals, with deadlines and daily tasks. It will be completely free to all Goalscape Connect users.

The iPad version will follow, possibly before the end of Q2.

Lester Sheppherd I've been using Goalscape for some time now and it has become indispensable for me. It is excellent for strategic planning but I also use it for keeping track of information (ie. a knowledgebase) as well as doing comparative analysis.
