I know for a fact that my monitor, a big 24 inch monster that I got for a sweet price, is not calibrated correctly. This is a pretty embarrassing admission, because I work with photos all of the time - not only do I post them to websites, I actually edit them to make them brighter or more colorful. But if my monitor isn't showing me the correct colors in the first place, I'm probably taking a bad situation and making it worse.

Lutcurve is the perfect thing to help me get my calibration groove back. With Lutcurve, LCD and CRT displays can be calibrated, without hardware devices, for gamma, white point, and luminance level. Unlike gamma calibration tools, which only bend the gamma curve, Lutcurve ensures highly precise calibration. The ability to support an unlimited number of calibration points means you'll be able to correct non-linearity on any display, especially hard-to-configure notebook and laptop screens.

Lutcurve even has support for multiple display setups! Imagine what a relief it will be not to have to adjust your eyes as your gaze drifts from one monitor to the next!

I know what you're thinking - how long does this "highly precise calibration" take? How about fifteen minutes from start to finish? Not only does Lutcurve deliver perfect calibration, it does it fast!

H. H. Hallo,
following question:
1.is it easily possible to "reset" the changes lutcurve would make, in case that one is not satisfied with them, or is it more changing the hardware like firmware-updates do (and with this possibly not being able to go back to original previous settings)
2. is it possible to save different configurations with lutcurve (like one is able with icc-profiles)?

S B Can Lutcurve be used on more than one computer (but not at the same time)?

"The Fine Print" says yes, but the EULA says no:

Zoran Paljevic It's obviously fully loaded with features and probably more capable then OS integrated calibration BUT : There's no doubt it finely tune "something"., actually now I'm not sure if I really improved something or not, was it better before or now?

Software integrated or website explanations are not sufficient by my opinion, this kind of software must have more visual material in very simplified but plenty of help files. Let's say that some of us are doing basic calibration once in 2-3 years when changing hardware and not working in Toshiba, for example :)

Atrise Zoran Paljevic, sorry, I don't understand what you want. Currently there are 3 help sources:
- Software hints in the top left corner on the screen.
- PDF file with detailed texts.
- Web site 'howto' area with most common cases.

Also there is a support service.

Frank Stephens Is a change log available? Has compatibility been improved? I used this years ago and decided that it was more trouble than it was worth. As I recall, the Adobe Gamma Loader clashed with it, and MCE loaded its own settings.

Atrise Adobe Gamma Loader and other gamma tools must be uninstalled. They do the same things.
