Making backups of your data from one hard disk to another hard disk is just trading locations. The best way to ensure that your backup copies are safe is to use physical media, like optical discs, and store them in a different location from your computer. And the best way to get your data onto optical discs is with today's discount software promotion, BurnOn CD/DVD!

BurnOn CD/DVD is a burning and mastering application that lets you back up critical data to optical media. With BurnOn CD/DVD, you'll be able to safeguard your most important files in a format that's not subject to crashes or data corruption. Try getting that same level of reassurance with an external hard drive! You can also extract data and audio tracks from CDs and DVDs to your hard drive, and split DVD movies across two optical discs.

If you produce audio and video, you'll also appreciate BurnOn CD/DVD for the ability to master software on discs. Just take your DVD folder structures and feed them into BurnOn CD/DVD, and the software will burn your project to DVD as a final master, suitable for making duplicates or playback on a DVD player!

Gde Swart Can anyone tell me how this compares with the free offerings from Nero, CDRWin or Ashampoo?

Ron de Wit The above is ok. I think the free ashampoo is fine too. As they are both free give it a try and select the one you like best

BurnWorld Just so everyone knows, this free offer includes the script to remove all nag popups in this software. Normally this is $15 to have removed.

ivansword the gesture is well received.... but for those who are curious... there are plenty freeware alternatives out there with and without nag prompte. I do not wish to sound disingenuous; however, many of the same freeware alternatives may further contain or provide more features than this particular piece of promoted software, e.g., imgburn (beware ask toolbar install!), starburn, InfraRecorder, totally free burner, ashampoo (good, but are subjectively/arguably known as spammers), and that is just a few....

I post for informational purposes only, and will not feed into any flames, trolls, or drama. Each will have an opinion, yet the best guidance, one may be able to offer is likely the most generic and basic. Simply find a program that works and suites your needs, one that has a GUI you can navigate, and work with easily, ultimately accomplishing your goal(s). When that happens, you'll be satisfied regardless of price, or aforementioned advice.

Do not misinterpret the intent... I appreciate this site and the efforts involved in making the giveaways happen... the information aforementioned is simply for choice and informational purposes. It is what it is, and is as it was....

highest regards~

Charles Mitchell Hmmmm......There are many FREE ALTERNATIVES as ivansword has pointed out....I use IMGBURN and have had no issues with it.....The Burnworld website you either have to subscribe to the newsletter to receive this deal...OR to get it free go through TRIALWARE which you have to do some other Deals before getting your free software....This is how you get free Ipads and Iphones which itself is a shady business practice....SO with that in mind STAY AWAY from this deal it is not worth all the BS you need to go through....

Thomas Philipp @Constatine Florea, i've tried that, that doesn't work either. the reg key gets imported into the registry, the programm just can't deal with it at all. i've uninstalled it, removed the reg key, reinstalled, reinstalled the key, nothing.

running windows 7 64bit sp1 german ui.

Ron de Wit As you seem to be familiar with registry. Find Burn program entries is your registry. UNINSTALL the programm first en remove left over entries of the program. Reinstall the software and try again. Worked for me on similar problems. I admit it's somewhat work to remove a nag screen. Personally I would do that.

O. J. O.J. @Constatine Florea I've tried the above mentions task to install and register the software but I too am unable to get it to register. I tried this
1. Install the "BurnOn CD/DVD" application.
2. Don't run/open the application yet (or close it if it is running).
3. Run the ad remover file.
4. Now run the "BurnOn CD/DVD" application which should show up as registered.
5. I even tried putting a copy of the ad remover file in the program files folder on the C drive and run it but it still will not show registered.

Anything else we could try at this time?

Ron de Wit If the download link doesn't work google the program name and get for example the download from:

http://www.burnworld.com/burnoncddvd/
or
http://www.softpedia.com/...-DVD.shtml

Click on Top of this site on get it for free and go via checkout You may have to wait somewahat longer for the follow up download of *.reg file untill the site works again. If it's not resolved in time there's a fair chance the offer will be extended tomorrow.

BurnWorld If anyone is having an issue with the reg file please email supportburnworld.com

But like Constatine posted if you install BurnOn CD/DVD first and don't run it, then run the regfile. If burnon is running or the process is running in the background then the regfile won't save the registry command correctly.

Vicki Sprowles I have the same problems as the others here. I followed the advice of Constantin but got the same result. The program remains unregistered even though the registry values were successfully installed. Are the programmers responsible for this error fixing it and will we be emailed with new instructions and/or download links even if the solution is not found until after the giveaway time period has elapsed?

michael vanier Are we poodles?Jump through this hoop, now the higher hoop, and now ,for the finale, the highest flaming hoop....come on,I read the reviews at Cnet, and they are less than stellar-Get Ashampooo,Burning Studio, give them your throwaway email address, and be over and done with it.This registration, much less uninstall of nag pop-up,sounds Labrynthine,at best. Ron Cavin where IS the ad remover file?
I've read the comments relating to it, followed what instructions there were, but any link I click in any "receipt" just leads to a download of the main program. Will somebody please tell me how to find the ad remover?

Ron Cavin How can I run the ad remover file if I have not received it? This is getting ridiculous, two days and still struggling to install and try the software. No follow-up email with the ad remover, no reply to my posts about it. Bits du Jour has lost my business and my interest. These offers are becoming more trouble than they are worth.

I am grateful to Burnworld for understanding my question and sending me the file,
Thank you Burnworld!

O. J. I've tried uninstalling the program and reinstalling it but nothing seems to work. I uninstalled the program and went and downloaded the one you put up today and tried to install it with the new file and the adremove.reg file that was sent to me by BurnWorld and it still won't show as registered or remove the Ad Nag message when you close the program.
I've run out of things to try can anyone help?

I have tried the above 3 times, in between uninstalling, removing registry entry (which is NOT removed during the uninstall) and running registry cleaner programs to erase all traces of the program and nothing helps.
