1. Extended AeroSnap
Move a window so that the mouse pointer is near the edge or in the corner of the screen and select one of the layouts

2. Scroll inactive windows with the mouse wheel

3. Repositioning the window by "drawing" it on the grid
The new position of the window is specified by selecting it on the 12*12-cell grid with the help of the mouse

4. Layouts
It is possible to create a rule for any window based on how it should be repositioned and resized

Amit I have already downloaded the trial few days before but it was complicated to do. I wanted to -
1) add all buttons to a specific window
2) to remember that a particular window remains ontop always, whenever i open it - remembering state.

but dont find how to it although i went thru the program and the help file a few times.

Any info on the steps ?

Also 1 feature request - to add a button to title bar of any window - for a exe file to run or sending keystrokes to that window.

1. You can create an individual rule for this window: right-click on caption and select "Window settings..." (or double click on window title in program's list) and select "Add buttons to the title bar" rule or click Custom button to specify full customizable settings
2. Also create an individual rule and select "Save the window state" or click Custom button and select "Always on Top" in "Save the window state" section or select "Enable Always on Top" in "Specify the size and position..." section

Amit Did that. No buttons coming up. i even restarted pc once more but nothing.

Edit :
I have windowblinds installed and running - unloaded it and then buttons show up. And i found if windowblinds is running, buttons will not show up and only when its unloaded.

If u cud make buttons compatible with windowblinds - wud be much useful. My current skin is Blue glass vista (just to tell)

Another thing - I have tried some ontop softwares to remember the ontop state of some windows, in my case i wanted of "download file info" of IDM - when adding a download.
And all have been only able to make that window ontop the first time it appears, but if i switch to another window, the "download file info" becomes non ontop.

Same problem with Chameleon. The only working software has been, in this regard - Zmover, which is different in the way that it rescans all windows - every some seconds and reapplies the settings and so it really works, in keeping even the IDM add download window to be ontop. (Really no cpu usage or lag even with it doing that).

Though if this feature be added to chameleon, wud be welcome.

Binkie Boy Hi, I'm looking for a way to keep app windows the same relative size when screen resolution changes. I use my notebook's screen when away from my desk,and when at my desk I plug into a large monitor with higher resolution. If I size my windows to fit the notebook screen, then there is wasted space to the right and bottom of the screen; and if I size them to fit the big screen then they are of course too big on the small screen. Also my desktop icons lose their positions when resolution changes. Could Chameleon solve one or both of those problems?

Frank Stephens Amit, Microsoft broke "on-top" handling with Vista, and never fixed it. Thanks for mentioning ZMover, although I doubt that it recognizes when a window goes fullscreen (vs. maximized), in which case it should stop trying to manipulate windows.
