"Installs easily, I was zapping files in no time." -- PC World Magazine

By now, you've probably heard that the safest way to store and guarantee access to your most important documents is to save them to The Cloud - an online storage network that can take the form of Google docs, Microsoft SharePoint, Dropbox, Twitter, Box.net, AmazonS3, Microsoft SkyDrive, Evernote, Ftp, Egnyte, SalesForce.com, Microsoft Online (BPOS), and many others.

But, short of sitting at your computer and uploading files one at a time, is there any easier way to get started with a Cloud-based workflow quickly? Sure there is -- it's called CloudZap!

With CloudZap, you'll have access to three great utilities that let you print, scan, publish, and copy documents and files straight to the cloud-based service of your choice!

CloudZap Printer does what it says it does. It prints anything from any application, directly to your cloud service, as a TIFF or PDF file -- with or without security authentication. You can even use CloudZap Printer to print a single job to multiple locations on different services! It's so easy, you don't even need to configure your server to work with CloudZap Printer. With CloudZap, you can view your printed content on your iPad, iPhone, Android device, or tablet PC. Save ink, paper, and benefit the environment!

Version Alert!!! The newest version of CloudZap has a host of powerful new features, including native screen capture with auto-publish capabilities, the ability to copy sharable links to the clipboard, printing/scanning/publishing to smartphones, batch scanning with separator document sheets, on-the-fly OCR in over 50 languages, and much more!

If you've already got hardcopy documents that you need to store in the cloud, CloudZap Scanner fits your needs perfectly. With CloudZap Scanner, you can scan and use OCR to upload your documents directly to your cloud service -- no retyping necessary! You can turn any ordinary flatbed scanner into a multi-page document scanner by just pressing the "scan button" for each page. When you are done, you have a multi-page document to send to your favorite Cloud Service!

CloudZap includes integration with the award winning Snagit screen capture software by TechSmith. You can capture screen content, edit it, mark it up, and publish it to any of the supported services.

Lastly, CloudZap Publisher is your catch-all utility for moving data to your online portals! Featuring tight integration with Windows Explorer, you'll be able to use CloudZap Publisher to copy files to your cloud-based service with a simple right-click!

CloudZap now includes an optional Office Pack (for Microsoft Office 2003-2010) that integrates your office documents -- including Outlook -- with all supported services.

DroidLuvr I just have to put in my two cents about today's giveaway -- and no, I have no ties to the developer at all!! I'm just a Bitster that purchased this offer the last time it was here on BDJ, [actually you can see I questioned if anyone used this last February before I bought it!!] -- I'll say that I'm here to buy a couple of more today for computers that I rarely use, but find that when I do, I miss having this program installed!!

If you work with Cloud accounts, especially multiple cloud accounts, (as I do): Evernote, SugarSync, Google Docs, Amazon S3 and/or Amazon Cloud, SalesForce, MediaFire, Twitter, Facebook, ... and the list goes ON and ON -- you definitely can't pass up this software today!!

When I bought it last year, I thought it would be "handy" -- and it is, but truly it is now an "indispensable" program that I use not only daily, but multiple times daily, and I don't even scratch the surface of what it can do. It can scan, print, and publish just about ANYTHING, from a small screenshot, to a full set of scanned documents, to one or all of your cloud services as well as your local machine all at once! I use it all the time to print instructions and information from sites like this when I buy software, so I have all the documentation saved. I also use it for FAQs and help files from the internet as well. I save any purchase receipts, license keys, important warranty information, etc., whether saved from an Internet site or received in the mail, and I can send it all to my selected folders in any or all of my cloud folders all at one time, so I can always find it later.

Since I purchased last year, the developer has been extraordinarily helpful with the few little glitches and questions I had - I've always gotten immediate email responses, and he even has a direct U.S. phone number you can call during the week and ask him about any issues at all. The support I have received has been above and beyond just about any other software I have ever purchased. Additionally, he takes suggestions to heart, and incorporates them into his program!! This program has also more that doubled, maybe tripled, the amount of cloud services that it supports in the past few months, and great options like batch scanning with OCR code separators have been added. All of these updates, so far, have been free of charge, and I always get a "personal" email telling me about upcoming and newly released updates.

Finally, the optional (free) download of the Office Integration Pack is a must-have too. It adds all the functionality of CloudZap directly into all of my Office programs with one little icon on the ribbon!

Sorry for the long post, but this is definitely the best purchase I ever made from BDJ (and I've bought dozens!!) and I just wanted to share my experience with my fellow Bitsters :-) Needless to say-- two great big thumbs up from me!!

[P.S. If you're interested, you really have to check out the developer's site for a current list of all of the cloud services and options that this program has! I noticed that the screenshots posted here aren't updated to show a LOT of options that the program has added over the past year...]

Stephen Warkentien I have no time to test today. What is your return policy? Is licensing online or local?

DroidLuvr @ Stephen: obviously, as a user and not the developer, I can't answer the license or return policies questions, but as a user for over a year now, I'm quite sure there is not any threat here...

If you read "the fine print " of the page you linked from Virus Total, the conclusion at the final page is: "While not necessarily malicious, the scanned file presents certain characteristics which depending on the user policies and environment may or may not represent a threat."

My guess is the permissions required for the program to work (i.e. must be able to login to your cloud accounts) are somehow triggering the oddball readings on VirusTotal...

Stephen Warkentien It scanned clean on my PC but I went to VirScan.org for a second opinion and five anti-virus engines flagged the software as problematic. I know there can be false positives but I won't install anything with more than one or two hits. I will look at it again another time. For now I'm passing.

Frank Stephens Stephen Warkentien, no reputable virus scanners complained, and the ones that did couldn't agree on what the supposed problem was, so I consider that a false positive. I'm sure that BDJ checks the offerings.
