I remember the first time I played Dead Rising. Sure, we've all fought zombies before, but this was something…different. Trapped in a mall, surrounded by hundreds of the undead, turning everything and anything you could get your hands on into a weapon! Frying pans! Tennis rackets! Hockey sticks! And now, thanks to today's discount software promotion, we get to do it ALL OVER AGAIN, but even bigger and better, with Dead Rising 2!

Dead Rising 2 is the sequel to the bestselling Dead Rising, featuring an all-new story, new multiplayer modes, a new location, and thousands of undead on your screen. With Dead Rising 2, you're racing against the clock to save your daughter before the military nukes the city (it's the only way to be sure). Only this time, you get to create new hybrid weapons by combining everyday objects for maximum effectiveness! And since the game tech is now capable of filling your screen with thousands of zombies, it's only appropriate that your new weaponry is capable of massive damage never before seen!

Even if you finish the single player campaign, Dead Rising 2 grabs you by the throat and pulls you back in with addictive multiplayer co-op play, opening hours and hours of replayability. And when you want to move on to something even newer, grab three of your friends and compete in a gladiator-type TV show against the zombie hordes!

Harrison Rose This game can't be activated through Steam, I'm afraid.

Instead it is delivered via a download with an accompanying license key.

Thanks!

NB: Some games titles at Paddle are activated using Steam

crazy poster can i turn the clock off? i guess it would be fun to play a bit more with the zombies.

what does "Internet connection required for game activation" include? i use a notebook for surfing and my working-pc has normally no internet connection (no internet, no virus, so documents always safe). if a software need activation, i connect my pc for these few seconds and that was it. therefore i do not use steam or similar.

Harrison Rose When playing the game, if you don't follow the story-line and the timer runs out, if you select to "Continue Game" you will be allowed to roam around as you please. So that's probably what you're looking for!

You'll need to be connected to the internet to activate the game the first time you play/install. After you've done that once, you will will be able to play without a need for an internet connection.

W Ma When I went to buy, the website seemed to only take U.S. billing addresses and not Canadian. Is this true or did I make a mistake?

Software Babe I would have purchased this IF they had PAYPAL or a 3-rd party secured payment link, but sadly they only offer VISA/MC/AMEX that you enter your numbers on their site. THAT IS VERY INSECURE AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED.

Sorry. Offer Paypal or 3rd party and I will buy it. Otherwise, I do not want to give out my credit card info directly on their site.

Harrison Rose Software Babe: We actually do use a 3rd party for payment processing called Braintree. They're a reputable company handling over $4 billion in payments annually for an impressive list of online companies.

We're working on supporting PayPal at some point over the next few months.

If you'd like to know more about Braintree (our payment processor), there is additional information available at their website:

Tylicia Tchelebon When I click buy it now and go to their site I'm not being offered any way to add my information with my Canadian address. If I click I'm in Canada it won't show the game at all. So without pay pal anyone outside of the USA can't buy it from the look of it? Can this be resolved?

PW How large is the download? We are on a limited download each month and this may just be too big? Can we order it on DVD?

Knight Hi!

I just ordered it but like somebody else mentioned earlier the registration form assumed a US address.

I am note sure if the payment will be processed correctly since I obviously don't like in the US state I had to choose to complete the registration.

Is there anything you can do about this?

Thank you!

Nick
