Ever wanted to add User Defined Functions and commands in Microsoft Excel, but found the process too complex and cumbersome? Well, today’s discount software promotion is a blow for freedom – it’s ESharper!

ESharper is an add-in that lets you create lightweight User Defined Functions and commands in Microsoft Excel using C#. With ESharper, you’ll be able to change your C# code, click a button in the ESharper functions custom task pane, and…boom! The updated functions are immediately available in Excel, with the active sheet automatically recalculated!

There’s no limit to the number of UDF functions you can create in Excel, with global functions available for use with any workbook on your computer, and workbook functions stored in the individual workbook files. C# 4.0 features are available when .NET 4 is installed, and C# 5.0 features are available when .NET 4.5 is installed.

No Name What's the license like? Is this strictly a single computer license, or a single user license? And what about redistributing the XSLX file?
Jun 12 at 7:16am Copy Link
Sergey Vlasov It's a single user license. You can freely redistribute an XSLX file with ESharper functions within your computers.

Robert Crombie I thought that Excel only used VBA for macro's ?
Does this giveaway work by (you and it) creating C# code, which them generates the VBA code that Excel will execute ?
Jun 12 at 5:01pm Copy Link
Sergey Vlasov This giveaway works with C# code you write and then ESharper executes it directly, without converting to VBA.

MrZebulon Hello.
So ESharper is just a GUI for Excel-DNA??
Kind greetings
Jun 13 at 1:51am Copy Link
Sergey Vlasov The main advantage of ESharper over Excel-DNA is that you can add and edit Excel functions interactively without restarting Excel and without Visual Studio.
