jack hath It's the Free Edition and only recovers 'up to 2 GB". Why is this even being offered?

Ford Prefect From the description "iCare Format Recovery FREE Edition . . . rescue up to 2GB".
So is this offering the Free Edition (with a 2gb data limit) or a full unlimited edition ?
II expect a lot of people are not going to even try to install and use this as the description only talks about the Free Edition.

Constantin Florea @Ford Prefect, I am sorry about the confusion, I updated the promotion copy.

We (BitsDuJour) do not promote already free products, we can only promote products which are sold for a price on the product website.

During this giveaway we are promoting the $69.99 Home license sold on the product site here:

CFGuy Constantin,

I think Ford Prefect's confusion over which version is being offered here today is a result of the webpage linked to the [Program's] "Website" box at the top of this offer, under the photo and title of the program (alongside the "Screenshots", "Virus Scan", "Notes" and "Languages" boxes.

When the link in the "Website" box is clicked, the consumer is taken to a webpage on the developer's website that describes a "free" version of this program. I believe what you are saying is that the version that we will get at no cost here today is the version titled "Home License" that usually retails for $69.99 (on the website) and allows the user to "Recover Unlimited Data".

Am I correct about this?

Thanks,
Cfguy

Constantin Florea @CFGuy, I understand what you are saying but in this case there is no specific landing page on the product website for the Home license so we had to link to the only one there.

You are correct: we're promoting the Home license which retails for $69.99. The code you receive should unlock all features of the Home license, if that is not the case, please do contact us at notify@bitsdujour.com with the issue you encounter.

Mark Gregory Where it says for PC, What Version is this one, it seems to happen quite often
that different software given away does not mention the Version number etc, It would be better to mention the version of different software, as it would save a download etc to find out the versions.

Robert Crombie Thanks for the giveaway.
Most times I attempt recovery (3.5" drive, or 2.5" drive, or thumb drive) Windows cannot see the flippin thing, which usually means recovery software cannot see it either.
That may be a flaw with windows ? ?
If you had a bootable version with it's own OS (perhaps linux ?), would it have more chance of seeing the drives ?

Thanks,
Rob
