Have you ever marveled at those images that make it look like someone is flying over a city, or floating in space, or sitting on a cloud? From the looks of them, it seems like you would need to be a technical wizard to pull off that effect. But with today’s discount software promotion, Light Developer - Matting Version, you can do it yourself in the comfort of your own home!

Light Developer - Matting Version lets you separate an object from its background in a digital image, giving rise to a cornucopia of creative matting projects. With Light Developer - Matting Version, you’ll have your choice of two advanced methods and tools to perform matting, with results that look like you’ve done work for professional movie studios!

It all starts with a background that is easily distinguished from anything in your photo’s subject – most often a blue or green screen. Just take your shots and run them through Light Developer - Matting Version, then select the inside and outside edges of your object, and BAM, the program separates the object. You can then take that object and use it against any background of your choosing!

Cary Adams Would be nice to have a video that walks through what you can do with the Matting Version, and how do do it. The vendor's website isn't helpful here.

DrTeeth Ditto to the video.

"After you make a purchase of this BitsDuJour discount promotion, Light Developer - Matting Version may be used for 3 months" - This is a joke, right? For a 50% discount I get 3 month's use?

Indeed, that doesn't seem right. Checking into this now, in the meantime we've halted the promotion.

Sorry for the confusion!

Louis H BDJ really does need to correct that three month thing in the fine print.

If you go to the vendor's website and click on the Buy link, it will tell you the details of the license.

http://www.stepok.net/buy.htm

The Editing and Matting version have the same license as the Standard (or FULL) version. The license is good for 1 year and can be renewed each year there after for $9.

There is a "rental" version (actually the Standard or FULL version) that is 9$ and good for three months. I am sure that is where the info in "The Fine Print" is coming from.

and remember to check out....

...to see the differences between the three versions that are being offered over a three day period here at BDJ.

I still have not decided if I am picking up a copy of the Standard version tomorrow. I am still trying to find my way around the trial version. I like some of what I have been able to figure out. Just not sure if I need this one. Some video tutorials would have been a big help.

And so I +1 to the request for some instructional videos to help demonstrate what is possible with this program.

Chen Qi It is a mistake, there is a item in the Bits account of vendor ask to set the limitation of the version. I set it to 3 month because I think it is means 'limitation of the trial'.

For registered version, there is no limit in time.
