"MacFlux really is the Dreamweaver killer." -- nzmac.com

You probably fall into one of two groups -- either you're already a web designer who wants to upgrade your toolkit to keep up with the latest HTML5 standards, or you want to be a web designer and you need to get started without all of that programming getting in the way. Is there an application that can fully satisfy everyone's needs? There is! It's called MacFlux!

MacFlux lets you create and publish professional looking websites that are compatible with HTML5 without any programming skill! With MacFlux, you'll have the best of both worlds -- a creative design environment that lets you unleash your ideas, plus free website templates to get you up and running quickly.

MacFlux supports standard HTML, as well as PHP, Ruby, JSP, and many other languages! It also includes a host of useful widgets for things like image galleries, calendars, maps, and more -- letting you up the cool factor in just a few clicks of your mouse.

When I said you don't need any programming skills, I really meant it! MacFlux offers you a stunning WYSIWYG rendering engine -- just drag, move, and stretch objects on-screen until your site looks exactly the way you envisioned it, then let MacFlux create all of the HTML code to make that magic happen! Old School Coders will appreciate the ability to type your code in manually and automatically have MacFlux display the results! When you're done, MacFlux makes it easy to publish your product using FTP or your MobileMe account.

Perfect for beginners. Perfect for seasoned coders. It's MacFlux!

Mr. B Is there any examples or tutorials on using this with Ruby on Rails and what the workflow is like?

Mr. B Yeah, I know what you mean. I might be able to help you though. There is a download here:

http://mac.softpedia.com/...Flux.shtml

Although the demo is labeled as v3.1, I think it might be the 2.x version.

Meanwhile, anybody used this with Rails dev?

Is Flux the same as MacFlux ?

Mr. B It is a little confusing. It's basically the same (except it might be a 2.x demo instead of 3.x). If you go to the macware site, you'll notice the videos are linked to theescapers.com and the vendor in softpedia is the escapers too. So same developer, don't know about the name differences.

Maybe the software was sold, or it could be macware is the exclusive agent similar to how smithmicro works.

Cheers
