It’s not enough to just have set up a network, even if you do have connectivity. Your users demand quality in their network connections, and the best way to measure this is by using today’s discount software promotion, MyConnection PC Advanced.

MyConnection PC Advanced performs a variety of connection tests to provide you with a detailed performance analysis of any network connection. With MyConnection PC Advanced, you’ll enjoy automated testing that identifies congestion, over-subscription, and other intermittent problems that affect your connection quality. You can even use MyConnection PC Advanced to measure the speed of your connection by testing packet flow and packet health, so you can make sure that the speeds advertised in your broadband package match up with the real thing.

If you’ve ever wondered if your connection problems were inherent in your network or somewhere “out there” on the Internet, MyConnection PC Advanced can give you the answer.

Dan Palmer @Art

If you contact our support team they'll be able to help you further.

One thing to try now would be to make sure you right click and choose "Run As Admin" when installing and running MCPC

@Danny

MCPC is available in 4 editions. The free license we are giving away today is for the lowest available edition, Advanced.

Art Kamlot I would contact support if there was some indication on how to do that. Since there isn't forget it...

Doug Atkinson Art, the new look of the BitsDuJour site has confused things a bit. However, right at the top of the page under the title of the product, is a section with "Screenshots, Virus Scan, Website, and Notes." You can go to the vendor website using the Website link, and then go to the "support" section. It's all there if you take a few minutes to look for it.

Dallas Wu The description above says "The program features a routing test that measures the route between two test points", except this version of the program does not include that option.

Since I already have many options for testing transfer speed, this was the only thing I wanted from this program. Turns out I wasted my time.

Adrian Miller If you really want to install another program to slow down your PC and internet connection (as any monitoring program WILL slow your connection) then install something like this

Anyone monitoring a connection beyond the sole purpose for locating an issue, should find better things to do with their life...

Dan Palmer @Adrian Miller

MyConnection PC will test your connection when you require, not on a consistent basis (though an automated testing option is available in higher editions).

With ISPs constantly offering poor service and relying on their customers lack of understanding to rebuff complaints MyConnection PC can be a valuable tool

Dan Palmer @Dallas Wu

Apologies for the misinformation. This edition (Advanced) doesn't include that feature. A comparison list can be found http://www.myconnectionpc...rison.html.

I would also be interested to know the options you already have for "speed" testing as most out there tend to be incorrect.

Dan Palmer A note to everyone, Visualware software requires a 32-bit Java. So, if you're getting Java errors despite having Java installed it could be a 32 vs 64 bit issue.

Norm Sash Hey, thanks so much for this offer. I've looked at the version feature comparison and I'm really more interested in the Business Edition rather than the Advanced Edition. Is there anyway to get the Business edition as part of this offer?

Little Bear Not interested since it requires the Java VM which always gets hacked. Couldn't the developer create a version that does not depend on it. Not going to install some bloatware just to test the connection on my laptop.

peter hayes G'Day,

I have to agree with Dallas Wu on this one, i really was only after the routing test part of the application, the introduction blurb really needs to be changed to reflect the reality of this application and its' abilities.

Stan Fi I don't use facebook so I answered the questions as an alternative. After answering all the questions I was linked to the registration information after the completion of that I end up on an error page which really pissed me off. I linked back as it asked, I link back it would allow me to get to the download page because it was not clickable after the failure so, I cleared my cache & tried again with questions it errored same with the last time. I have no time nor patience for this.

Robert Henerey I backed out of the installer because it required (would install) a Java Runtime. I've kept that vector off my box for a couple of years now. The BdJ page should tag stuff that needs Java.

Rick Truell Little Bear: "Not interested since it requires the Java VM which always gets hacked"

You are incorrect. It is not the VM that "always gets hacked", it is the plug-in for web browsers...a completely different thing. Please stop spreading misinformation.

wts Thank you, Rick Truell, for injecting some sanity. To people who fear Java, it's not hard to keep updated. Suggestion for everyone, not just the paranoid: install the free Secunia PSI program to alert you to when core software needs updating
