Constantin Florea The coupon code is not a permanent one. You can only choose the courses from the promotion page (over 200 courses). Based on what we've noticed from other courses, they are accessible only on the Udemy platform. Some courses may be subscription courses while others are not.

You can pick any and as much courses from the promotion page as you want. Scroll down on this page to see all available courses. If you found a course type in the promotion code and you see the promotion price. Be aware, the average price for a course is $19, so if you pick 10 :-)

Alberto Castillo Yes. Actually it's quite not clear.

On the main photo it says "Massive Savings on All The Udemy Courses". But we can only choose 200 from the promotion page. So we pay for the code on Bits Dujour and then pay the course by typing in the code on any of the valid courses on the Udemy website for the promotion to apply the price reduction.

So you're paying 19$ + the discounted course price and we don't know the discount applied to the courses.

Also, this is not a code you can keep forever to use for the future. This would seem interesting :)
I think once you have the code, you can only use it today

Louis H Folks, I was also very confused with this offer. If you click on the "Get This Deal" button, you will be given the coupon code, FOR FREE, with which you can then go to the Udemy site and choose the courses (plural) you want for 19$ each.

I recommend using the Website button near the top of this page, as it brings up a list of the courses that are covered in this promotion.

You are NOT paying BDJ anything for the coupon code. THAT is what is so confusing.

This discount Offer expires 11:59PM PST, July 23, 2014, as noted on the Udemy site.

Now, for those of you who have the Udemy App on your tablet or phone, they are running a $19 promotion as well. As of this morning the notification I received from Udemy was that there are only a few days left for this deal. I have not, nor do I have the time this morning, to fully compare the two lists of which courses are available under each discount offer, but a quick read appears to show the lists are the same, or at least very similar.

The coupon code, by the way, that I found by simply clicking on the website button near the top of this page without clicking the "Get This Deal" button, is the same code.

So either go to Udemy via the Website button above, or click "Get The Deal," get the coupon code, hit continue, and then be taken to the Udemy site where you can choose which course - or courses - you want for $19 each. You do NOT pay BDJ anything. (VERY confusing ad copy this time around!)

Hope this clears things up.

(BDJ may be getting some sort of a commission for everyone who makes a purchase through this coupon code, but you are not paying anything to BDJ up front to GET the code.)

Louis H Silvano, it is my understanding that Udemy now offers access in Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Japanese, Chinese, Italian, Russian, Korean, and Turkish. Not all courses are available in all of these other languages.

To access the site in one of these languages, to find which courses are available in the language you are looking for, you will need to set up an account with Udemy. Under your account settings, go to edit profile, and then use the drop down menu near the bottom and choose one of the above mentioned languages. I do not know for certain, but they may do this for you automatically, depending on where your IP shows you coming from.

Lupke Brother wow people, let me help you a bit to make this clear. To be sure: I have no relation with Udemy or whatever. I have a few courses and I'm very happy with them.

1. Click on 'Get This Deal'
2. Here you'll find the BDJ discount code. Copy this code and click on continue
3. The page you see is the page which contains all discounted courses for which you can use the BDJ code. If you scroll down the page, more courses will show up.
4. If you like a course, click on it or open it on a new browser tab.
5. The page you see now is the page for that specific course. If you scroll down everything about this course is described (it may vary per course). Mostly you can watch a preview of the course, so you'll know the language, teacher and whatever.
6. Don't you like the course, well, don't buy it. Do you like the course? Click on 'take this course' at the course page. A popup screen opens. Click on 'Redeem a coupon' and paste the BDJ code and click on APPLY. Now you see the price you have to pay for this course. You can choose between creditcard and/ Paypal
7. As allways on Udemy you will get LIFETIME ACCESS to the course you have bought. You can see all courses you have bought on you account page under 'My Courses'
8. The BDJ is only valid today for the courses you see, not for other courses. Belvieve me, there will be much more discounts for Udemy courses in the future. Maybe through BDJ or else thfough newlsetters from Udemy.

SKY I am also not from Udemy, (and not liked by the some discriminating admins of BdJ here) and I also needed to know more, so I clicked a few links and now understand it all. Why don't you also try that? Nothing to lose and you will not be charged unless you actually buy a course by giving your payment details at the very end at Udemy site.

But for those of you afraid to click links on web pages, here is a synopsis:

When you click on the green GET THIS DEAL button, it takes you to a page on Udemy where ALL the 200 courses that you can choose from are listed, just keep scrolling until it ends. Then, when you click on one of them, it takes you to the course explanation page, and then if you decide to buy it, you click on BUY and also give in your promo code, this brings down the price to $19, IF the price was over $19 to start with. Obviously, you wouldn't want to pay $19 for a course which is $10 to start with. And you can ONLY select from the courses listed on the promo page, other courses will not recognize the promo code, if you select them from another page or Search results.

And the percentage of the discount depends on the regular price of the course. There are courses worth $499, or $249, or $199, etc., so if you buy the $499 course you still pay $19 and your discount is 98%! And yes, as long as you keep paying $19, you can buy ALL the courses at that price, which are over $19 to start with. For example, say I have selected 10 courses totaling $3898, I would pay only $190 (nothing to pay to BitsduJour to start with) and still get ALL those 10 courses with different discounts each, but ca. 95% total average, which is great. BUT YOU CAN DO THIS ONLY TODAY, not tomorrow, not thereafter, unless they extend the promo. But the courses you buy, you can follow them lifetime or whatever the instructor has stipulated at the explanation page.

Mario I am trying to apply the coupon code to The Ultimate Web Development Course by Dr Richard Stibbard which is from the promotion page (over 200 courses), but the discounted price does not work, the price is still the same $49. The other courses are OK.

Carina Parry Hi all, to help out, I am an avid user of Udemy and their courses are really good!
First....
1. Most courses are in English that I know of
2. As Lupke said, click on the deal button, a drop down list will come down and you can choose from that list, but not every course will give you that discount price.
3. Worth also checking for free courses too
4. Once to have the course you want you have it indefinitely, so in 6 months time it will still be there, it kind of belongs to you.
5. there's a great range of courses.
6. Best to join that way you always know the discount courses that come up
7. As you do a course it emails you progressive reports how much you have done and you receive a certificate at the end of each course.
8. Very easy and a manageable system on their website.
9. There's also reviews from customers so you can get an idea of each course you might want to do.

Daniel Gaudet For those that are on the fence on getting this deal,

I just wanted to point out that this particular deal as shown up a few times in the last 3-4 months on Udemy (either directly, or through their Android/iOS app). I don't know if it will be available in the future, but I wouldn't be surprised if it does show up. The actual courses that are offered might change, but the many/all of the 16 courses I bought through an earlier version of this promo are being offered in this $19 promotion.

The other thing that's important to note is that there's are 30 day return policy for the majority of the courses offered on Udemy. There is at least one exception to the rule. If you purchase the courses through the iOS app, there is no return policy. I have also seen a few courses explicitly state that they cannot be returned once purchased. (On a side note, I believe this promo needs to be purchased through a web browser and not the mobile app to get access to the $19 courses.)

Once you purchase a course, it can be viewed either through your browser or your mobile device. If you have the mobile device app, you can also download individual lessons to be watched at a later time offline. Once online, your progress will be saved to the online course so you never have to guess where your are at in a course, no matter which device you use to access the course material.

Depending on the course, they will also provide access to a few components of the course so you can get a feel for the course material and the instructor.
