I usually am not interested in these kinds "slideshow tools", but this one really looks good, with this I mean: The interface is clear, there plenty of effect options, a lot of tuning options, and the program itself looks good.

I tested this and it works right from the get-go, quickly created a working slideshow in .mp4 format.

The only thing I missed where proper annotation objects (Arrows, Highlights, Rectangles, Eclipses,...) all geared to annotate a slide.

AquaSoft Hi Ron!

We are happy to hear that you are enjoying SlideShow 8. If you look in the Slideshow objects tab there are decorative elements, speech bubbles etc, that you can add to your shows. Also, you can add in images of arrows etc, by using a chapter you can have multiple tracks, so for example you could have several annotation tools show up at once, your image, music etc.

Ian Sample I have installed the program and registered my email address but there is no serial number and I have been waiting more than 10 minutes. Also this has happened in the past with this company - Aquasoft.

AquaSoft Hi Monica, thanks for the feedback. As Stages 10 was just fully released it will be a while before there is a deal on it. However, you can try it out for 30 days for free on our website. And of course, if you have previous full versions of the software, then you can buy newer versions at a discount.

AquaSoft Hi D. Rogers, I guess the answer depends on whether you have 7 Premium or Ultimate. But in general many functions have been made easier in 8. For example, to achieve the Ken Burns effect in SlideShow 7 you had to use the camera/zoom tool and adjust your zooming in and out manually. Now there is a built in effect that you can drag your photos directly into and hit play. Some other effects are photo collage or gallery which make it easier to display multiple photos at once and can of course be combined with panning and zooming features to make them more lively. Also, in SS7 you only had colored backgrounds, in 8 there are several included backgrounds for a variety of themes. The best new feature in my opinion in SS8 is the route animator and decorated paths. With the route animator you can create animated travel routes, with maps and your car/bus/plane driving or flying over the area, photos popping up, music--the options are endless.

AquaSoft Hi Voon Ming, yes that's not a problem. You can export your show/video in Mp4 format, and then put it on your USB stick and play it on your TV.

Richard User The registration process for this product is ridiculous.
#1- Buy the product. (Yes, I know SlideShow 8 is being offered for free. There is a non-free option for two SlideShow 9 products.) Checkout.
#2- Aquasoft sends you an e-mail with the download link.
#3- You receive the e-mail, click the link which takes you back to BDJ, and the download starts.
#4- You install the product. A dialog box comes up with a link to get the activation code.
#5- You click the link where you have to register with your e-mail address. Aquasoft sends you an e-mail, supposedly with the activation code.
#6- You receive the e-mail which doesn't have the activation code. Instead it has another link where you verify that the e-mail address you just gave them is really your e-mail. This is where it goes into "ridiculous" territory.
#7- You click the link. It opens a page in your browser where it (finally!) gives you the license code.
#8- Unfortunately, you can't copy/paste the code into the open dialog box from the install you did up in step #4. No. You have to either manually type in the whole 20 character thing OR you copy/paste in 5 different sections because of the way they created the input box for the code.
#9- Slideshow restarts and you're finally ready to go.

Aquasoft ought to reconsider whether all of these steps are necessary. At the very least, let us copy/paste the entire activation code at the end.

PS- When you click the "Customer area" link in the Step #7 e-mail to see what account Aquasoft set up for you, the page you get directed to is in German. This despite that everything from Aquasoft to this point has been in English, and I specified during the install that my language preference is English. Fortunately, Google offers to translate it for me, but that's not what I expected.

AquaSoft Hi Richard.
I can understand that it seems like a lot. Unfortunately there is not too much that can be done about it. Steps 1-3 are not an AquaSoft process, they are a BitsDuJour process. Then regarding steps 5-7, that is normal that after you register, you need to confirm that it is your email. In fact we are obligated by law to make sure that you don't register with us using someone else's email. Then once, that is confirmed, you've got your serial number. There shouldn't be a problem copying and pasting the serial number, but if it does happen you can copy it from within your email and then use the clipboard button next to the blank boxes. I've shared what you've said about the process with colleagues and possibly at a future time another process will be possible. Thanks for the feedback.

bryant jackson I just installed Slideshow premium with my order no BDJ-rkPYOT. The instructions said i would receive a registration code during the installation. I didn't get that step and have nno installation code to register the program with. Can you send me a registration code or tell me what to do.

Peter User @bryant jackson: Have you open the SW? Run it! It should come a window to put in the code - in this window you have a link to register. Click it - a website should open - make your registration. Then you should become a mail to verify your mail-adress. After clicking the link you become another mail with the code. Copy it and click the button right from the registration-fields (paste from clipboard) - that´s it...

Mr Dave I get the following error each time I start the program:

DiaShow.exe - Entry Point Not Found
---------------------------------------------------
The procedure entry point ConvertToGlobalHandle could not be
located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

I think the program works ok after I close the error box, don't know if I'm missing some capability. Is this a Vista issue, or does program require Flash or Java or some other insecure program?

As far as I know, KERNEL32.dll is a core part of Windows so I'm pretty sure I have that file somewhere on my system. Is the entry point DiaShow.exe seeks not found in the Vista version of KERNEL32.dll? I'm using 32-bit Vista Home Premium, SP2.

Do I need to install or run as Admin? The account I use to install things is already on Admin account.

By the way, registration was not so bad, took about 8 minutes including download and installation. Thanks, looking forward to trying it out!
