LU I have installed it on Windows 8 64 bit and works. Though screensavers are not really needed anymore except to maybe keep privacy, it does seem entertaining.

If I may make just a few suggestions though to help improve it.
1. The "check for new version" button is not working in the settings section.
2. Would like to see it span across multiple monitors.
3. Would be nice if it blurred out the desktop for privacy, yes I realize other backgrounds can be added.
4. Hope any future versions will have a password login available for security reasons.

All in all, it is a nice little program.

F.J. Garvin I installed..and it will preview but it never runs by itself. I also see Windows 7 64 pro says 'No Screen Saver" installed.
I see you are contacting a prior poster who ran into the same thing. Is there a fix?

Well, discrepant opinions come from W7-64 users. Can someone else confirm successful setup/activation of the screensaver under W7-64bit?
If the screensaver doesn't work at all, a possible frequent reason is installed antivirus false positive, which prevents the screensaver's run.

Danny Alex I can confirm that it runs great on Windows 8 Pro x64! No issues with installation/activation. I had just one issue when I click check for new version it says "internet connection problems!", is this normal for the version we got or... ?

Wayne King I have windows 7 x64 and this software does work on it. Once you have it installed it will bring up the screen saver setting make sure that it is the screen saver chosen and press the APPLY button. I found if you din't then click on the OK button it will not work.

One other thing the first time I did this it did not to work so I went back into the screensaver settings and found that SnowOverDesktop was not chosen as my default screen saver so I chose it again and press the apply button again and now it seems to work fine I hope this help some people with there problems.

Ivan Yeik it's very funny,but a bit sad is about the snowflake cant covered desktop,im interested about this screensaver long times a go,now the new version is about 5.0 ......

Hope that next time BitsDuJour will offer the up to date version to us(your followers) to enjoy about it.......

Not really up to date but as long as can get the better output than snow over desktp screensaver 1.0 ......

Animated Screen SevenSixFour Pro, there is no any specific W7x64 fix. As some people mentioned above the screensaver works ok with W7x64. And under some specific circumstances it doesn't.
Such "circumstances" often could be your antivirus's false positive, which blocked/deleted few screensaver's files silently and you wonder why the screensaver/software never worked. In this case you may disable your antivirus for a while and re-install the software or add it into your antivirus "white-list".
Lastly, if you still think there is a bug/issue in the software and that's the reason why it's not working on your PC, please contact our tech.support. We'll try to think of something...
