For this discount it would make sense to buy it anway and perhaps even get a feeling about stocks and someday buy some stocks anyway...

I just finished paying with PayPal and PayPal has sent me my "You have sent a payment of xx to xx" email, but when PayPal redirected me back to your site after completing payment, all that was displayed on that page was:

Transaction not authenticated. payment_status= pending_reason= result=INVALID

I have already sent you a email to support@stock-spy.com with the same info and a SS of the PayPal receipt I was emailed.

Lito I bought this program last time, and I don't think I ever got a reply from you when I emailed support about this. You offer free upgrade for life, but I don't see any update (for the software) button or menu option and on your website I don't see any version info or change logs that indicate if there were any updates to the software. Even in your software I don't see a version number. So how do we update the software, and how would we ever know if there was an update?

Charles Wilson I ordered this software and received confirmation from PayPal that payment was sent. I have not received the license code to upgrade my trial version. Is there a problem?

Tony Simpson I have just experienced the same problem as Mr Wilson. I purchased this software using PayPal, have the payment confirmation but the return link from PayPal to the vendor is defective, it produced an error. So, also have no license code or purchase acknowledgement from vendor.

C S PURCHASE ISSUES FIXED!

Some users were experiencing problems after they purchased using the big yellow "Add To Cart" button at the bottom of the page at stock-spy.com. Your order would be processed by PayPal but you wouldn't get your purchase confirmation email with your download link & key.

This has been fixed. If you purchased earlier and still haven't received your download link & key please contact support@stock-spy.com.

C S @Michael R. - StockSpy does not track spot prices for precious metals. However, you can track ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) for precious metals like GLD, SLV. The price movements of these instruments matches that of the underlying precious metal however the nominal price is different. So if gold spot rises 2% GLD should also rise 2%.

Mark Johnson Is there a version history for this software available anywhere?
Even at such a reduced price, I am very reluctant to buy this software since questions from previous users here about versions and upgrades are being obviously ignored. Why are you not addressing those questions?

C S Hi Mark, I mentioned in response to an earlier question... "Updates are free on demand. Just email support!" We don't publish a version history anywhere in particular. There are some software sites which have a version history available based on our PAD file (xml metadata for StockSpy) which is updated every new version.

I have one more question though.

I haven't installed the software yet, but Lito said there the program doesn't show the version number it is anywhere within it, so how would we or your support people know if I needed a update?

Since you said updates are free & on demand, I guess whenever we think there might be a update, we email support and tell them we want another link to download the software and then install it, even though we don't know if we need to or not since there is no version number?

I am just going on what Lito said above since I haven't installed it yet, so if their post is incorrect and the program does in fact show a version number, please forgive me. (if it doesn't have a version number, that would be something good to add into future updates)

C S Hi Chris,

The current version number is 1.90 as you can see from the installer file name. From now on you will be able to check what the latest version number is here: http://www.stock-spy.com/download.php (Look for the text "Download StockSpy 1.90")

I like your suggestion to allow users to see the current version number from within the software. Thanks!

Tony Simpson Having installed StockSpy and spent quite a time adding 50+ stocks I want to track, my first impressions were that it is really useful. However upon closing the program and later re-opening it again I find none of the chart tabs I added are present. There appears to be no ability to save added charts is that correct ?
If so, it now seems less useful to me than I first thought.

Your previously viewed stocks are saved in the symbol field drop down but tab settings are not saved between sessions.

C S FYI - Download Accelerator Plus Users!

Please use your browsers built in download mechanism and not DAP (Download Accelerator Plus) or a similar accelerator when you download the full version. If you try downloading with DAP you'll get a corrupt installer.

In your browser right click the full version link and click the appropriate download/save as.. menu item. Thanks!
