What is the renewal cost after the 12 month period?

Also, I read that System Mechanic is now licensed under the Whole HomeT Licensing program, which allows to use one System Mechanic license on all of the PCs in your household.

Is that correct?

Staley The product policy makes no sense...
"Product purchase allows use for 12 months... ...Free upgrades for 12 months."

but then says
"Support for life."

If you can only use the software for 12 months... then how can it be "supported for life", unless that's only a 12 month life...

Use to love this program, before they added Hardware Footprint Activation and requiring you to upgrade every year. Instead of the old model where you could you the version that you purchased for "Life".

Nico Westerdale @Andrew - I think that a better reading of the Policy is that the support is for the lifetime of the product. Yes you do need to pay for a yearly subscription, but you don't have to pay any additional support costs. Makes sense?

Stephane M Hi,

I know the deal is over but I tried System Mechanic on Win XP and it seems to do a pretty good job.
I also tried to install it on both my machines running Vista x64 and Win 7 x64 but unfortunately the setup always crashes. There is no way to get it installed.
I sent a email to the support yesterday but still waiting...

So may be Cristian Miculi can help if he is still around.

I am with iolo technologies and would love to get you some help with installing System Mechanic and troubleshooting your situation. Did you receive a case number when you created a case? That number would help me get someone in touch with you.
