First of all, a 2014 version will not be released. The next version of WebCoder will more likely be released in 2015, and by then, all existing customers, from BitsDuJour or not, will be offered an upgrade discount (at least 25%) :)

Philip Avery I just want to say that TSW has always been an excellent editor but 2013 is, frankly, extraordinarily good. I moved to it after HomeSite support ended (anyone remember that) and while I have a number of editors I am most comfortable in TSW.

In addition, Kasper gives excellent support and also shares the process of development of the next version, which is always a fascinating journey.

At this price, it is the bargain of the decade!

Kasper Tanggaard Architektura Architekt, did you activate the Live preview mode from the Preview toolbar? I just did a test and tried to match the settings you use on the screenshot, and it seems to work just fine.

Does the regular preview work (if you press F12)?

Kasper Tanggaard But is Firefox not working at all or is it just not working with Live preview?

Please check Settings - Paths and make sure that there's a valid XulRunner path, downloaded by WebCoder.

1. can i have to save file to see change code in priview mode in firefox/ie?

Hank Friedman I use shift-enter in my coding to add line breaks, but when I configured Webcoder's shortcut for line breaks to shift-enter, it didn't work.

Since this is something I use all of the time, I can't proceed in getting Webcoder unless it can do this.

Hank Friedman Dear Kasper,

Yes, that works, but I am in the habit of using Shift-Enter (for years of HTML coding) and so having to use Cntl-Enter is going to be dissonant with my use of other HTML editors.

I think your program GUI is "more modern", similar to Office 2013.

Kasper Tanggaard Hank, I'm sorry about that. It seems that this specific shortcut is not as easy to override as the other ones are. This is the first time I experience it, so I will have to do a bit more digging to figure out what's going on :)

Kasper Tanggaard Architektura Architekt, yes you can use the Code Snippets system. It allows you to type something like "style", press Tab and then have it expanded into a complete CSS Style block. Have a look at it and check the documentation if you would like to know more about it :). And yes, the Live preview should work just fine, when enabled. It should update automatically when you stop typing, if the extension is in the allowed list for live preview - you can see it in the Settings dialog :)

Kasper Tanggaard Kimmo Lahtinen, I don't usually do any comparison charts against other editors. I think WebCoder will stack up very well against most of them, but I don't particularly care for that sort of marketing. Besides that, I suggest that you give both editors a try and see which one will suit you the best - that is probably a question about more than just features anyway :)
