Let's face it, spyware is a growing threat. Sometimes it's just irritating, like adware or popups. Other times, however, spyware can be far more dangerous. Backdoors, exploits, and downloaders can steal your information, your identity, and even your money.

Even with the latest anti-spyware protection installed, almost 90% of new scans uncover malware every single day! With new threats emerging constantly, the message is clear: Spyware is here to stay.

As spyware becomes more sophisticated, you need the latest and most sophisticated tools to protect your data and your privacy. SpyEraser 2 combines the newest technologies with proactive online scanning to ensure the best possible protection. SpyEraser 2 updates daily and will keep your system clean, avoid the risk of system crashes and - most importantly - stay malware free.

Steven Avery Hi Folks, SpyEraser is barely unmentioned on Wilders, CastleCops, etc. Please note: 1) PC Mag review of 1.1 - Feb 2007 - Neil J. Rubenking http://findarticles.com/p..._n19422340 http://www.pcmag.com/arti...006,00.asp One of the most negative reviews I have ever seen - "utterly dismal". Even though they advertise heavily; and other Uniblue products received reasonable reviews. http://www.pcmag.com/sear...lue&site=3 2) Sales that are better than today's small discounts. http://www.liutilities.co...rder/seesd / http://www.pcmag.co.uk/vn.../spyeraser Yes, the second is PC Mag, UK. Consistency is the hobgoblin.. And I am not recommending the sales, since I have not seen any answer to #1 above and see additional concerns. For future and related reference; their Registry Booster product. http://www.dslreports.com...ry-Booster Uniblue Registry Booster? http://www.pcmech.com/art...ter-review / (Readers comments) Heavily advertised registry scans whose real functionality requires $ after the scan are often dubious programs. See readers comments above. On awards, they put any "Uniblue Awards" (e.g. Editors Choice .. no Url's) on pages for software products that did not get the particular awards . And they place in their Google ad: "Registry Booster software is PC Mag's choice for registry repair." - No additional link or reference given. While PC Mag carries Registry Booster in their shareware library - http://shareware.pcmag.co...ID%5Dpcmag There is no indication that it is a special "choice" or that it was even reviewed. ============ Note: Some of this info was sent to Iconico via their website a while ago. Caveat emptor. Shalom, Steven Avery

Van Swofford I recently bought Registry Booster from them and discovered after the purchase that it is set up as an automatic renewal in a year. If you don't contact them to terminate the renewal, they'll bill your credit card automatically for a renewal a year after purchase. I didn't find any mention of this on their website. According to information I found in the process of cancelling the renewal, this also applies to Spy Eraser.

Cheers,
Van

richard marvell Regarding Van Swoffard's comments, my experience was the small print re auto renewal was given up front, at least for the Uniblu security suite 2009, and the microsoft link that originally brought me to the Spy Eraser program.
However, it should be known that Uniblu just sent me an email that Spy Eraser will be discontinued and they will no longer be producing security programs like this. It's somewhat disconcerting that this was abruptly announced and at the same time this product is still all over the internet for sale. if anyone knows of a comparable product (I found it was better than, or as good as McAffe, please inform. thanks. rmm
