George Butel This is the easiest-to-use DVD ripper program there is. If you just want to save the video from a dvd for later use, say as an mp4, and don't want all the oddball parts of the DVD--trailers, etc.--you'll like this because it's easy to see which "title" is which and just rip what you want. What's on a DVD comes over as a list of "titles" that may not have any obvious relationship to the parts of the movie. With this program, you can easily see what the "title" are. There's almost always extra stuff on a dvd that you really don't want to see: you just want the main movie or whatever it is. You can check the "titles" that you want to rip, and skip the non-essential ones...I have a couple of their other programs, and they work wonderfully also. I do wonder whatever happened to their winx-bd-decrypter, the blu-ray decrypter.

Daniel Why do you have the following in the fine print on software people are paying for?
Guess people shouldn't buy or go for the free software. If you have to uninstall you cannot install the software you offered for free. Some paid software have
"You must install/register the software within 7 days, and cannot do so afterwards."
DVD Ripper in fine print says you must install within 7 days. You seem to like to sell your software with just 7 days to install and cannot after special is over. Some or most of the paid software say must install in 7 days or cannot afterwards. When people write to you about the "You must install in 7 days." you say you can install any time. The fine print says intall in 7 days. If you can install at any time on paid for software edit out "You must install in 7 days" the fine print. Change it to "You install any time Edit after you copy and pasted in fine print.
I was going to buy DVD Ripper and DVD Copy Pro until I read the fine print.
DVD Ripper in fine print says "You must install within 7 days."

Mike Krueger Hello, when I got my version of MacX Video Converter Pro it said I had 3 days to install and couldn't install after that. That was in 2013. Well, I recently upgraded to a new Mac and tried to reinstall and the serial number didn't work! I guess when it says you can't install after 3 days they mean it. Very unhappy!

Adam P I tried registering, but the registration email only has the code. The activation screen wants an email address and a code, and when I try not using an email address or using my BDJ email address it get declined. How do we register the program?

Al Wow! What's up with all of the comments above about installation, timing restrictions, and the surrounding confusion and ambiguity that your scheme has brought about? What's the purpose and functional intent behind it? Makes one think. A customer purchases a license and must install within a specified few number of days. And with no return policy! Pray tell clearly why would you give a wit when the customer would install it? What's behind it all? Please tell for all who may still be interested and willing to contend with these games. My dignity as a consumer is much more important to me than to contend with this kind of nonsense. Fortunately, there are other alternatives to just about all software out there! For example, just searching on "Alternatives to (name of software)" or "software for (functional description)."

Concerning the return policy, there is a discrepancy between your saying that Digiarty offers a 30-day refund policy and what appears under the "Fine Print" on the BDJ listing here that says "No return policy." Concerning the installing time line concern, thank you for clarifing that.

HJ B I have several hundred dvds and cds that contain unprotected WORD, Text, mp3, pdf, EXCEL, POWERPOINT and other data files. A number of the DVDS include topical folders. I would like to be able to insert a DVD or CD, and have the program automatically copy the CD to a folder on a designated hard drive. The folder would automatically have the name of the CD and the contents of the folder would contain all of the data and file structure of the DVD or CD. Once that copy is made, the disk would be ejected, and I can then either insert another disk or quit.

Can this program do that? If so, what are the steps to follow?

I also have a number of commercial music and movie disks. Can that same process be done with such disks?

Duane User I'm surprised that there is so much interest in this product at this late date. Most people already have a similar product. The price seems high to me. I bought a lifetime membership to DVDfab many years ago, and it's even more expensive.

I must have got WinX DVD Ripper Premium some time ago from Bits du Jour. I just started it up and it says "Upgrade to Full License with 50% off." for $29.99. Not sure what that would buy me.
