Dennis Johnson Easy to setup, use, and afford. It's the number one "free" video capture software on cnet. Although it only has half the downloads as Camtasia Studio (at about half a million), it is much more affordable than Camtasia. And, having used both, is easier to produce top-notch screen captures.
While I dislike that they employ the marketing of "free" when it's only free if you want to put up with a watermark. To get rid of the watermark, you have to get rid of some cash. But it's only $38. They have a couple addons for $30 each. But the $38 edition is great.
