Steph NaturalReader 12 is a text-to-speech program with natural sounding voices. It offers many voice options with varying degrees of quality but I am really impressed by the UK English voices Peter and Rachel.
The program can read many different file formats (txt, doc, pdf, html). It can convert digital text into audio files (mp3, wav), and it can convert printed text into digital text (OCR). It even has browser add-ins which work with Chrome, Firefox, IE and Safari.
There are so many applications for good quality, listenable text-to-speech. It can be very time-saving to be able to listen to reading material while on the move. It is ideal for proof reading. It can reduce strain on the eyes. I think many people would find this program extremely useful but at $69.50 for the cheapest paid version it's a bit expensive so I suggest it would be an ideal promotion for Bits du Jour.
