Mr. Yoop This mind mapping application has a long history and a very distinct interface. For home users, it's pricing for the mor competitive versions is not very attractive. Perhaps a Bits du Jour discount can change this ;-)

Vanessa N Yep, I agree. I'm the other person (so far) who wants this....It has a very nice interface, different from all the rest, and sparks the imagination a bit. Hope to see it offered~

Clark Wilson I've been following this app for years. As their marketing says, it is much more than an interface -- the data storage and access patterns are unique. Their website uses the tool as a navigation method.

Roger Thomasson I was in talks with the PersonalBrain folks for a bit, unfortunately I haven't been able to reach them in a while.

Seems like a good excuse to try again :-)

Rick Wallace Been interested in TheBrain for many years, so would be good as a Bits du Jour offer. Had a news email within the last week so hopefully they will respond.

Javier Gil I too am interested in this and if a reasonable discount was offered, I'd definitely buy it!

Gordon Price Have been using the current pro version for over a year. The more I use it the more I can not live without it. Want to see the big picture with all the data you have? This program can handle it.

Hussein Abdul-Jawad I love this so much but the price is so frightening for the pro version I was like what in the world. They also have a cloud service and team service where everyone can work together on the same project whether you on the other side of the world on vacation or on business. But for all this little extras I was told it is gonna cost me 400 USD...WOW 400 USD really??? besides their prices are not clear in regards to what's included with. They seemed to want to force you in purchasing both web and destop product for 400 USD...hum dunno about that though...I can't wait to have it offered here...for now I guess I just will have to wait. If it was more affordable and reasonable I would definitely buy it.

Vlad Bogo I would like to reward TheBrain with my hardly earned dollars. Unfortunately, current price is $300 which is 3 times more than I can pay for their product. Get realistic, people.

Charles Beauchamp The Brain and Webbrain are ideal ways to have both a personal brain and a collaborative brain. In terms of the current pandemic they are ideal ways of integrating all the varied information coming out that relates to both lay and professional needs to know, act upon and contribute to. In this day of online education, interaction and evidence-based action it would be ideal to consider having large enough discounts to get TheBrain and WebBrain into the hands of all wanting wanting to contribute to the effort to contain the pandemic. For instance, I am in the process of customizing TheBrain so that prevention and treatment regimens could be distributed with updates to very hard hit industries such as the meat processing and packing industry. Being able to purchase TheBrain + WebBrain and distribute industry-specific customizations to different industries at a reasonable price would, in my opinion, greatly assist us in squelching the transmission and virulence of the virus PLUS inter-relate care directed at the pathophysiology of the virus that greatly would complement any vaccine that is developed. As a specific example, I have found that being able to manage oxidative stress is key to treatment of COVID-19 The treatment of that pathophysiology can inter-relate to prevention of preeclampsia / premature birth / prostate cancer aggressiveness in African Americans especially. Oxidative stress is the uniting pathophysiology that makes comorbid conditions - diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease - more likely to contribute to very adverse outcomes. Oxidative stress explains the microemboli and microvascular inflammation that contribute to multi-organ failure and ARDS. COVID-19 increases oxidative stress via activating nuclear factors that when activated migrate to the nucleus and bind to promotor regions of genes that via transcription and translation lead to the production of proteins that have pro-inflammation and pro-oxidative stress effects. There is cross-talk between inflammation and oxidative stress that causes increased pathophysiology, for instance in COVID-19 illness, preeclampsia, premature birth, maternal morbidity / mortality, prostate cancer aggressiveness and very likely in many other illnesses. This information and inter-related in TheBrain is an ideal teaching tool AND the ability to contribute to a joint WebBrain that is much bigger than what exists now, for instance, in "Jerry's Brain" could produce a worldwide means of conquering this virus via personalized interventions that prevent and treat. TheBrain can also massively capture the universality of oxidative stress pathophysiology leading to much more cost effective treatments of 100's if not 1000's of diseases.

The first evidence that the very reactive hydroxyl radical (OH dot) can be produced in vitro can be found in a 1970 JBC publication by Beauchamp and Fridovich (the co-discoverer with Joe M McCord PhD) of the anti-oxidative stress enzyme, superoxide dismutase. The first evidence that the hydroxyl radical could exist in vivo and contribute to disease, i.e., ARDS pathophysiology, can be found in two 1983 publications (J. of Trauma and JCI) that I co-authored with Peter Ward MD et al, the former head of Pathology at the U. of Michigan. Joe M. McCord PhD has a peer reviewed publication in the journal Antioxidants that proposes the therapeutic efficacy of a Nrf2 activator (PB125) AND there is a 29 co-authored EU paper that proposes the therapeutic potential of an FDA approved drug for Multiple Sclerosis flares, dimethyl fumerate, as a Nrf2 activation treatment for COVID-19 illness. I successfully treated a 33 week (and ~40 yo) pregnant person sick with COVID19 who delivered a very healthy 7 lb 7 oz baby boy. I have used PB125 to prevent COVID-19 illness and PB125 + X + Y to treat active illness. X alone was used to treat the 33 week high risk pregnant lady because PB125 contains Rosemary that can cause uterine contractions and she was using low dose X to prevent miscarriage and premature birth. This sort of information plus much more COVID-19 treatment and prevention experience needs to be distributed for free to health professions and lay personal in the form of brain(s) derived by the wise co-construction of TheBrain and WebBrain that can run in iOS, Google's Android, Windows, Mac. The cost of prevention is < $1 per day and the cost of treatment is about $2 per day x one month. I do not get any money from sales of PB125 or X or Y. that are designated as such to prevent profiteers from buying up supply, hording it and then profiteering. The purchase number of PB125 is purposefully limited to distribute it to individuals and not profiteers. I will be posting a WebBrain soon that will be available for online access. I am interested in collaborating with others in doing Comparative Effectiveness Studies world-wide.
