Best Lightweight Single Stroller

Travel strollers aren't much lighter or more compact than this one. Its sleek design is simple to fold into a neat rectangle and the wheels rotate more easily than some other styles.

The stroller also has an ample storage space under the seat as well as a shoulder strap that makes it easier to carry around when you're not pushing it. The canopy adjustment can be noisy, which could disturb a toddler who is sleeping.

1. Contours Itsy

The Contours Itsy is a compact stroller that offers many features for its size. The back basket under the seat has a spring loaded mechanism, so you can pull the basket down to put the backpack or diaper bag and it will then pop up to secure the contents. It also comes with an accessory tray for children and an adjustable backrest pad for the seat that offer more options than you normally find on a lightweight stroller.

It also has a canopy that you can open and shut to achieve the level of sun protection you want. The handlebars can be adjusted in height to allow for a comfortable fit four different positions. We weren't too impressed by the quality of its ride over rough terrain. We felt that the suspension and wheels did not perform a great job of absorbing shocks and bumps.

The stroller is ideal for travel because it comes assembled in the box. It takes only just a few steps to get it ready for use. The seat can be pushed forward and back to adjust the recline. It's pretty flat. Two buttons on the frame make it easy to fold and unfold. And it fits into an extremely convenient bag for carrying when not in use. In fact, it's one of the most compact strollers we tested, and it meets most airlines' requirements for cabin storage or gate-checking on airplanes. Be sure to check with your airline before you travel because rules can differ. 2. Kolcraft Cloud Plus

This is a great option for those looking for a stroller that is lightweight. It comes with everything parents would want in a stroller. single stroller sale includes all-terrain wheels and front suspension for an easy ride. It's also extremely light at less than 12 pounds. It folds by one hand, and then stand up on its own. It also comes with a child tray and parent tray each with two cup holders.

Its design isn't excellent, and it didn't perform well in our maneuverability test. It also has a swivel frame that makes pushing it over rough terrain feel like lifting a large weight. It is possible that you only use the stroller on sidewalks that are paved. However, for most people, it's not ideal.

The Cloud Plus features a three-tiered extended canopy with a peek-aboo window to provide additional sun protection. Its multi-position seat can be used by children up to 50 pound and has five points of safety restraint. This is a fantastic feature for older toddlers who have outgrown their infant car seats.

It is compact and folds up in a single step. It can be collapsed by pressing the button. It also comes with a convenient foot-activated break that's easy to create and then release.

However the handle is a bit lower than other strollers we looked at and some parents may feel uncomfortable for extended periods of time. The handle is secured in place when it's opened. This is an excellent feature if you intend to use the stroller on uneven or rough terrain.

3. Munchkin Sparrow

The Munchkin Sparrow stroller is the ideal travel stroller for parents who are constantly in motion. The compact stroller folds down and up easily and fits in the overhead compartments on planes or trunks in amusement parks (no need to worry about parking fees). It comes with a convenient zip carrying bag for easy storage. It is able to be used from birth using the infant car seat adapter, and provides plenty of shade by way of its canopy (though not as much as the Nuna TRVL or Uppababy Minu V2). The only downside for some parents is that they consider the look cheap and utilitarian.

The BabyZen Yoyo+ stroller is more expensive than other lightweight single strollers. It was designed specifically for urban living and luxe travel. It's one of the smallest strollers that fold (and includes a convenient carry case), and it offers plenty of storage, including a cup holder. The seat reclines to almost flat for both child and adult. This is the only stroller that can be used with infants using the car seat adapter. Some parents with short legs may not like the handlebar, which does not adjust.

The UPPAbaby Minu V2 isn't the lightest stroller on our list, but it has a ton of wonderful features that help kids travel more easily. The large seat reclines to a flat position, and it comes with additional padding to make the naps on planes last longer. The canopy extends to provide lots of sun-shade and the tray that is on the back offers a good amount of storage. It also features a spring-loaded handle that doubles as the footrest when folded. This footrest, however, seems vulnerable to damage from baggage handlers.

4. Uppababy Mini V2

Uppababy Minu V2 is a stylish stroller that is stylish and has a top-quality design and high-end. Its compact size allows it to easily navigate narrow sidewalks and tight spaces, but its robust construction ensures it can take on rough terrain without compromising your child's safety. The spring-action suspension on the front and rear creates more comfort for your child, and its durable materials ensure that it will withstand everyday wear and tear. Furthermore it can be extended to accommodate additional items such as baby car seat.

Even with a baby on the way, the Minu was easy to fold and maneuver. The squat fold, which opens into three sections, was one of the most simple we tried. This allows it to easily fit into overhead compartments on planes and public transport. It comes with a single-action color-coded brake that is easy to use.

The seat reclines in various positions and the leg rest can be adjusted with one hand, making it simple to find your child's perfect position. The UPF 50+ canopy lowered quite a bit to protect Cora's face from sun. There's also a medium-sized mesh peek-aboo window that closes magnetically and adheres to the canopy, rather than using noisy Velcro.

At just under 15 pounds at just under 15 pounds, the Minu is light enough to carry thanks to its built-in handle and shoulder strap. It can be stored in the trunk of your car and comes with a storage case and Uppababy TravelSafe which extends the warranty of the manufacturer by two years and includes replacements if items are damaged during travel.

5. Joovy Aire

Joovy is an established brand that makes a number of different strollers. This lightweight model is a good choice for parents who are looking for a sturdy stroller that can transport kids around, offers ample storage space, is relatively easy to move around and doesn't require a high engineering degree to fold. This model is not suitable for those who need an additional stroller or car-seat compatible model. It's not compatible with infant car seats, and your infants must be able to sit on their own before they can use this stroller from day one.

This stroller is packed with features and is available at a very affordable price. It scored a higher rating in our review of maneuverability than some other models with similar specs, and is an excellent option for smooth pavements. It has a large parent tray, a canopy and plenty of storage. The front wheel suspension is a little stiff and the handlebar is smaller than normal, however it still provides a comfortable ride for adults.

If you have twins or two children of different ages, you may find that a side-by-side stroller is the best option to get them around. Our favorite is the Joovy Twin Groove, which comes with a wide range of features and a small footprint that can be used into places that other side-byside options can't.

It has a big canopy and a peek-aboo window, and tons of storage. It's heavier than the other side-bysides however it has a good capacity and weight limit. It can carry the majority of children up to 50 pounds. You can also add an infant bassinet to the front of the stroller for newborns.


The Caboose RS Sit and Stand Stroller offers an extravagant version of the stroller. It has the same great features and can be fitted out with a bassinet so that you can bring your baby home in style from the hospital.
