Greenpower Mobility - All-Energy Medium and Heavy-Duty Vehicles Greenpower designs and distributes a full suite of low-floor and high-floor electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. This includes school cargo buses, buses for cargo, and shuttles. EV Star is a highly customizable, zero-emission vehicle that's fully FTA certified, Altoona tested and Buy America certified. It offers a range that is world-class and ADA wheelchair accessibility. It also provides cargo delivery configurations. EV Star GreenPower Motor Company produces a complete line of high-floor and low-floor all-electric medium and heavy-duty vehicles. The EV Star Cab & Chassis is their flagship model, and it can be customized to meet a variety of applications. The platform's clean sheet design allows the best battery pack placement and a lower center of gravity resulting in better payload-to-range ratios. The EV Star REEFERX was designed for mid-to-last mile refrigerated deliveries as well as catering applications. The refrigerated truck's class 4 design's one wall structure inside and higher insulation than traditional trucks allow for seamless sanitation, better temperature control and a more extended life. The EV Star REEFERX offers superior cargo capacity and an industry-leading payload to reach the range of zero-emission freight or passenger transport. GreenPower has partnered with Perrone Robotics in order to equip the EV Star with TONY (To navigate you) autonomous vehicle systems. This will allow fleets to make the transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star will also be able of wireless charging at 75 kW. We were allowed to test drive the EV9 on a local highway for several hours, and found it to be easy to drive and comfortable to drive for long distances. The EV9 can block the sound of traffic and wind on the highway. Suggested Looking at glides effortlessly over ruts and humps. The acceleration is extremely quick, and the car comes with adjustable regenerative braking to enable "one pedal driving" by simply taking off the accelerator. The EV9 offers a great range and can be recharged in three hours or less at home, or with any commercial charger. The driver has the option of choosing between two operating modes - eco mode and sport mode. The eco mode is a preference for the torque and cruise control while the sport mode maximizes speed and handling. Both are fun to drive and provide an unique experience for those who have not driven an electric vehicle before. GreenPower provides a variety of other EVs that include a multi-purpose all-electric minibus, called the EV Star. The EV Star is ADA-compliant and can be used as executive shuttles, microtransit and transit vanpools, buses, and paratransit vehicles. GreenPower produces about 10 EV Star busses a month for Jacksonville Transit Authority. The Jacksonville Transit Authority is replacing their fleet of diesel vehicles with 100 electric vehicles. With the Biden Administration aiming to electrify school buses across the country, GreenPower plans on ramping up production to meet demand. Their EV Star bus is the first of its kind to be tested in Altoona and FMVSS-certified, Buy America compliant and ADA conforming. They will be eligible for federal transit grants. We will be following the AV Star as it goes on its demonstration tour in later this year. We will provide more information on this innovative EV!
