The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping. He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His main focus is robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers are an excellent choice for those looking to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to ensure a hands-free clean. The Eufy S1 Pro This is the model to choose if you want an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other options on this list making it easier to navigate into tight corners and underneath furniture. It uses a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning. It's very fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in one go. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects rugs, and the dual side brushes help to clean debris from corners. The mopping performance is less impressive, but not by much. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms extend out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can be used to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and books. The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It is quieter and doesn't make as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum solely for mopping it is important to be aware of this. The Roborock Q Revo The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a variety of features. The device comes with a powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and effectively. This will ensure an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively quick. The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach areas. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to eliminate odors and stop buildup. robot vacuum cleaner is the customizable options available via apps. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the intensity of its suction, and choose between a back-andforth, or a more random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it should make, which will determine how quickly the device can move through your home. You can also choose to disable the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs. The device comes with a high price tag but is packed with a wide array of innovative features. It is important to remember that the device will incur regular expenses, such as mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every three to six months. This robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. These include a power button that doubles as a general 'Clean' button and a 'Home' button that will send it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning session. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empties the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads. The Shark Matrix Plus If you're a busy professional or someone who just wants a cleaner home without spending much time doing chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. It's a top-performing device, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that allows you to keep your home clean with minimal effort. The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping unit that has a microfiber pad. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing bags for disposables or refilling the water tank. The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' as well as virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop. We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair of pets. It was able capture some of the hair that our cats shed, and even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels were low and there were nice jingles to signal that it was beginning and getting its work done. Its biggest drawbacks were its simple app and the need to swap between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app is not able to save multiple maps. This can be a problem if your home has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a smart device that can vacuum and mop. The Yiko X1 Omni The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni's main draw is its huge dock, which serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink, and an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties. The base comes with a couple of buttons for control that let you manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Press two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are worried about their kids messing around with the vacuum. Like other robotic vacuums the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to detect furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems. Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. This is a rare event however, it was a bit frustrating because the X1 doesn't have an "stuck status" alert on its app. The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold. On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a huge contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxes.
