Some even come with a variety of colors and designs to suit your nursery's decor.

The most effective bedside cots come with adjustable sides that can be raised to meet the bed's height. Some also have an incline position that is ideal for babies suffering from reflux. They can also be folded when not in use, and some models come with a travel bag included which is perfect for new mothers who often go out or have guests staying over.

Bedside cots are typically a bit bigger than Moses baskets, but they are smaller than cribs. They can be moved from room to when needed and some come with an end that can be lowered so you can lift your baby out towards you for night feeds or to soothe. It's probably not ideal for small spaces. It is also a bit heavy, weighing over 10kg, and requires some maneuvering to place it. Emily from Clair de Lune notes that the sides of this mattress don't bend as much, which means you have to bend down to take your baby.
