Best 3 Wheel Stroller

If you're a runner in search for a stroller, or a parent just running errands, 3-wheel strollers offer plenty of flexibility. Many have the same convenient features as 4-wheel strollers like storage, a tray for children and a console for parents.

Guide writers put these strollers to the test on pavement and off, testing the smoothness of their rides. They also evaluated features that provide comfort and convenience like a seat that reclines completely.

The Chariot Cross

Thule designed the Chariot Cross to allow families to enjoy the outdoors without worrying about their children's safety and comfort. The adjustable suspension of the Chariot allows you to tailor the ride to your child's comfort and willingness to embark on new adventures.

The Chariot Cross is popular among runners for its smooth riding and superb manoeuvrability on all terrain types. It's got plenty of storage, including a cargo basket that can be tucked away to lessen the impact on your stride. It's a great option for families who like to combine outdoor sports, as it can be used with cycling, strolling and skiing kits.

One thing that sets the Chariot above other top-rated 3 wheel strollers is its outstanding comfort for passengers. The seats come with padded shoulders and sides. Passengers can adjust the recline of the seat to find the perfect spot to nap or enjoy the view. The mesh ventilation on the Chariot lets passengers take advantage of cool breezes, making it a great choice for hot temperatures.

Another advantage of the Chariot is that the front and back of the seat recline independently of each other, which is a nice feature for older children who want to stretch out or read during longer journeys. The Chariot Cross has a large rear canopy, as well as an observation panel, unlike the D'Lite, which only has a solid front panel.

The Chariot Cross Like other Thule products, is easy to put together. The instructions are simple and the process takes about 30 to 45 minutes. It is small enough to be gate checked on planes, and it can be folded up for easy transport when in your car.

3 wheeler stroller is that the Chariot does not accept baby car seats, which might restrict its appeal to certain parents. If you're searching for a double stroller that can be used with car seats carriers, then look into the Joovy Twin Roo+. It's a similar product that also accepts a wide range of infant car seat brands, however it's more expensive and doesn't offer the same smooth ride as the Chariot.

The Evenflo Pivot Explorer

Evenflo's Pivot All-Terrain Modular Stroller Wagon is the perfect choice for family outings or playground adventures. It's simple to transport your child with ease. With a simple flip of the handle, this wagon is able to either push as a stroller or pull as a wagon and can fit two children from 5 to 10 years old in the front seat or car seat adapter (sold separately). All-terrain wheels go where you do, so it's easy to navigate through gravel paths and other rough terrains.

The Xplore features a huge storage basket as well as a dual-sided snack tray, allowing you to keep toys, snacks and other items in close proximity. It's also easier to fold than other models, however it still takes longer than a standard wagon. The indicator's visual color will let you know when the wagon is completely folded and locked.

If you're in search of a stroller that can be used for naptime, this might be worth the investment. A bassinet is provided for babies who are 6 months or less and the UPF 50+ canopy can be extended from two panels to three by the quick unzip. This will provide more protection from sun's harmful ultraviolet radiation. The footwell is also upgraded with more space for active toddlers.

If you don't require a reclining seat for your child, you can swap out the child seat that comes with it for a bench-style backrest that will allow them to sit up higher and view the sights more easily. The Xplore is also compatible with the majority of major brands of infant car seats, which means it is safe and convenient for the entire family.

The 3D Lite

This stroller is a great option for parents looking for an inexpensive, light-weight, compact travel stroller that doesn't cost a fortune. Summer Infant's 3D Lite is their lightest convenience stroller, weighing in at just over 14 pounds. This model comes with a variety of features, including a 5-point harness and a multi-position recline seat. For parents the 3D Lite has plenty of storage space and useful features like a cup for children, a tray and holder, a parent cup holder, zippered pocket, and padding for the handles to ensure ease of use.

The Lite's lightweight frame makes it extremely mobile and easy to push. It scored highly in our Strollers Test Program. It scored Very Good marks in terms of ease of use and maneuverability. It also scored highly in the Stroller Safety Category. This category is comprised of features that ensure the security and safety of your child, including locking brakes, adjusting a safety harness folding and unfolding, and the ability to attach or remove the vehicle seat that is compatible with it.

One thing to keep in mind is that it does take a little balance to fold the Lite. To fold it, you must lift one lever on the back and then step on a lever simultaneously by using your foot, then press down on the handle using the other hand. This process takes around 4 seconds, and is slightly slower than other strollers with a lightweight design we've tried.

The Lite, while an excellent stroller for traveling is also small in size and a handy carrying strap. However it doesn't fold as compactly compared to other strollers we've tested. The Bugaboo Ant and Babyzen YOYO+ both fold smaller to fit in airplane overhead bins.

Lastly, the Lite isn't convertible to a double stroller and does not come with an accompanying ride along board for older children. If you're seeking a double stroller or something that can hold more than one child, we suggest taking a look at our Top Choices for the Top Double Stroller or our Guide to the Top Double Strollers. The Lite travel stroller is an excellent choice for parents who are looking for a travel product with a lot of features and a price under $150.
