Tunnel Containers

As the name suggests the main feature of a tunnel containers is the dual-door design on each side of the container. This significantly enhances access and makes them ideal for handling and storage of goods.

They can also be converted into self-storage units by adding the partition. We have also helped clients utilize them to store equipment for their plants and to provide secure access to their site using turnstiles.

Dual Access

A tunnel container is an altered version of a standard shipping container with double doors at both ends. Also known as a double end door container' or a tunnel container, these containers let you access stored items from both ends.

Dual-end access lets cargo be unloaded or loaded from either end of the container. container tunnel is a great option for transporting heavier or larger goods that would need to be backed into and out of the box. The double-end access removes the necessity of unloading the entire container to access the goods that are stored within, which saves time and decreases the chance of damage during transport.

This clever feature makes these tunnel containers versatile and flexible. They can be used to fulfill a variety of storage and transport needs, as well as being transformed into mobile offices or living spaces. They're also made of rugged, corrosion-resistant Corten steel, these containers can withstand the most extreme weather conditions.

If you're looking for a safer option, we can weld steel bulkheads to one of the long sides of the container, creating two separate storage compartments measuring 10 feet. This makes them ideal for self-storage companies that want to increase security by segregating their customer's items into separate areas. Our double-end door containers are also popular for use as ticket entrances at large events, as they are able to easily accommodate crowds of people while keeping them dry.

Our 20ft double-door tunnel containers have fork pockets that are suitable for industrial forklifts. This means that they can be easily stacked or lifted from the corners of each side. We've also fitted PIR insulation and heaters to these containers which allows them to be used for year-round storage.

We can manufacture tunnel containers in customized sizes to meet your precise specifications if you need a more bespoke solution. We can produce them in single- or double-sided models, as well as different lengths. However the custom-sized tunnel containers will be more expensive than the standard shipping container, so we recommend getting the closest size to your needs.

Temperature-Sensitive Goods

Most dangerous goods like explosives, flammable liquids and organic peroxides, require storage at the right temperature. Temperature fluctuations can alter their stability and could cause a fire or release toxic fumes. When storing temperature-sensitive hazardous goods, it's essential that container terminal facilities are equipped with the appropriate monitoring equipment to track and identify any anomalies or deviations from set temperatures.

These fluctuations can be difficult to spot, particularly in a busy workday. Container terminals must use a system to keep track of the temperature of all reefer containers in their facility. This gives personnel the ability to react quickly in the event of any abnormalities and prevent any potential risks.

Tunnel containers are a practical option when it comes to transporting and storing temperature-sensitive goods. They have double doors at both ends, which enhances accessibility and expedites loading and unloading processes during transportation and warehousing. They can be used to store large objects like vehicles or machinery.

These containers are typically made from a standard 20ft or 40ft shipping container. The solid end is taken away and new double doors are welded in place, allowing two-way access. They are a popular choice at construction sites, where it is necessary to pass through and under heavy machinery.

Some container terminals transform their tunnel shipping containers into secure entrances to their sites, installing a turnstile as users pass through. Although these conversions aren't readily available in a standard size but they are easily custom-made to suit specific requirements and are extremely cost-effective as compared to the construction of an entire facility from scratch. Tunnel containers are generally only available in a "one-trip" model since their owners build them specifically for a specific purpose and then keep them. They are highly sought-after by those who wish to expand their business or warehouse without the need to purchase brand new refrigeration facilities. They are also a very economical solution for those who want to store temperature-sensitive goods over long periods of time, or for transporting large volumes of cargo over long distances.

Convenient Storage

If you're looking for a storage space for your cargo, tunnel containers are a convenient option. They have double doors at both ends, in contrast to a the typical dry storage container that only has one door. This allows you to access your storage container from either side. This makes it easier to load and unload items.

This dual entry point is beneficial for a container that will be used to store items that require frequent access to like machinery or equipment. This means that you don't have to shift your vehicle in and out of the storage container continuously which could cause damage to the container as well as your vehicle.

You can also store your goods in a tunnel container when you need to maintain a certain temperature. The thermal and refrigerator tunnel containers are perfect for this, as they have temperature control that keeps the items inside at a particular temperature.

In addition to providing an easy access to the inside of a tunnel container, it is a perfect solution for a garage or workshop because it allows you to easily reach every area of your workspace without the need to move things around. The dual doors at the ends allow you to access and exit your storage container quickly, in the event of need.

One-trip tunnel containers are offered as new constructions with two sets of double doors or modified shipping containers. In the second instance the solid end is removed from the container. A pair of double doors are joined to the other end.

Shipping containers like these are usually only available as new 'one-trip condition', since their owners have built them specifically for a certain reason and don't want them to be sold. However, you are able to purchase refurbished tunnel containers from some companies that provide this particular type of container. The refurbished containers are tested to ensure that they are safe for transportation and are available with an extended warranty.

Easy Transportation

Double cargo doors at both ends of the tunnel container make it simple to load and unload goods from either end. This makes these containers ideal for transporting all types of general and bulk cargo, including special goods like motorbikes and cars. These containers are frequently used to create temporary tunnels on construction sites due to their durability, safety, and the ease of modification.

Shipping containers with double doors are also extremely useful for storage. Having access to both sides of the container means that there is no need to completely unload goods or even remove a section of the container to reach the contents stored in the back, which will save time and money. The doors at both ends can also be locked to prevent unauthorized access.

They're extremely durable, and because they're made from corten steel, they're designed to withstand harsh weather conditions. They're water- and wind-proof and are equipped with ventilation to ensure that there is enough airflow. These features protect your goods from moisture and minimize the risk of loss or spoilage.

Based on your needs You can pick from several options for tunnel containers. For instance open top containers feature a bow-top that is removable, which allows for easier loading of heavy and large cargo. Side-open containers are equipped with doors on the sides, which makes them ideal for the storage of small goods. A refrigerated ISO container, or reefer, has a regulated temperature and can be used to store temperature-sensitive goods.

The containers are available in new and refurbished models in 20ft and 40ft sizes with doors on both sides to make loading easy. These containers can be customized to meet your requirements however, they will cost more than a standard double door container.
