Evolution Fires' range of suites are perfect for living rooms extension, bedrooms and they also work well in bathrooms for that real flame ambiance.

Hotels with fireplaces give the impression of warmth and luxury that encourages customers to return. Discover how you can add this luxury to your hotel property.

The hearth

The hearth is the flat platform that sits at the base of a fireplace, designed to shield the floor and wall from heat damage or embers. It is usually constructed of non-combustible materials like stone or brick and extends between 16 and 18 inches in front of the firebox. Electric fireplaces are usually without a hearth.

As a general rule, fireplace suites consist of four main components; an inset fire (either gas or electric), a surround/mantelpiece, a back panel and the hearth. The four components are grouped together to create an area of interest that will enhance aesthetics and make your home more welcoming. This is why suites are the ideal choice for those looking to revamp their interior and give it a new look.

Suites are available in a variety of styles, colors and finishes that will fit into any style. There is also a range of choices for the type of fire, flame effect and heating output. Conventional fires with gas fuel are best suited to homes with chimneys, whereas balanced flue fireplaces can be used without chimneys.

Electric fireplace suites are an excellent alternative for those looking to add a focal point to their living spaces without the hassle of installing traditional wood burners or a gas fire. These suites generate their own heat by using a process known as convection. This draws in cool air, warms it, and then releases it into the room. These suites do not emit carbon monoxide, which is harmful to breathe in.

The back panel

A back panel for the fireplace is situated behind the fireplace opening. It is used to create an 'n-shaped' design with the surround, mantelpiece, and inset fire. This can be made from a number of materials that are resistant to heat, such as slate, granite and stone.

Most fireplace suites feature a back panel as part of an all-in-one solution which includes the mantelpiece, surround and inset fire appliance. This will save you time and effort during installation as the components are designed to work seamlessly.

There are also separate back panels that can be purchased which are perfect in situations where you're replacing the appearance of a fireplace with electric or gas and want to upgrade the appearance of the existing chimney without having to remove it. Back panels are available in a variety of designs and materials, so you can find the perfect one for your home.

Back panels aren't just attractive, but they are made of materials that are resistant to heat. This is important because it protects your floors and walls from the effects of a fireplace suite. This is particularly true when you select gas or a solid fuel fireplace, as they will produce an enormous amount of heat that can be transferred to the surrounding areas via the wall or ceiling.

A back panel can assist in tying together your entire fireplace suite particularly if you're looking for a more contemporary design. For instance this stunning flamerite Ador LED electric fireplace suite features a curved flame picture that really embellishes the effect of your brand new fire. This suite, when combined with an open-fronted modern electric fire, will create a stunning focal point for any dining room, living room, or extension.

Alternatively, this Elgin and Hall Farnham Deluxe suite features the popular Chollerton inset gas fireplace. This fire with a glass front is a real show-stopper. It will transform any room when it is paired with the limestone surround and back panels.

For a more minimalist look this sleek wall-mounted flamerite Edwin LED electric suite is the ideal choice. This suite can be mounted on any flat wall and can be operated with the included remote control easy to use, and with no flue or chimney required, it's a great option for modern homes.

The surround/mantelpiece

Modern electric suites are an excellent alternative to traditional fireplaces that need an back panel, a fire surround, and other components. They can be set on the wall in a straight line, creating an amazing focal point. They are great for homes where space is at a minimum or where a chimney and flue are not available.

Fires2U's electric fireplace range includes a variety of sizes and styles so you can choose the perfect one for your home. Choose from elegant stone designs like the Carron corbel for a classic Georgian style, or opt for something more minimalist like the Gallery Lincoln with its clean lines and simple elegance. Pine surrounds are popular too, and the Gallery Corbel from Carron is no exception. The piece can be coated with wax or left unfinished to bring out the color and texture of the wood.

You can choose marble surrounds for a more sophisticated appearance. The Elgin & Hall Vitalia Marble electric fire suite is an impressive option with its beautiful detail and angled stepped design. Pureglow Hanley, if you want something a little more elegant, is a good alternative. This surround is available in a grey-colored finish. It is compatible with electric or gas fireplaces.

You can choose marble surrounds or a fire that is all white to give a more modern appearance. The Carron Ashleigh is a popular choice that is compatible with electric and gas fires.

A traditional cast iron fireplace is a fantastic choice for those who love the ambience of real flames burning within their living room. The Flamerite Aubade LED cast iron fireplace suites feature a chic mantelpiece that is curved. They are designed to be used with gas, electric and wood-burning fires. Standard, they include an adjustable remote that allows you to easily alter the fire and lighting settings.

If you want to add an element of luxury, why not choose an elegant fireplace suite? These are often larger than traditional suites and are great for adding grandeur to a living room. You can find these in a wide range of finishes and colours to match your decor. You can also opt for mirrors to create a dramatic effect and increase the amount of light entering your living space.

The fire

The center of any fireplace suite is the fire itself however, you don't have to go with a traditional wood burning fireplace. Gas and electric are also options. The most important thing is to choose the design that is appropriate for your room and meets your requirements. You can also select an extra large model or a fireplace that has a wider panel to frame the fire and create an impressive focal point in your room.

When selecting a fireplace, make sure to take into consideration the amount of heat you'll need to heat your home. Fireplaces And Stoves will be determined by several factors, including the amount of heat produced by the fireplace and the current electricity rates and the amount of time you're planning to use it every day. Divide the wattage of your fireplace by the energy cost per kilowatt-hour charged by your electricity provider.

A fire place's surround and mantelpiece can have a major impact on how it looks in your home. Some come with intricate designs that add a new dimension of visual interest to the room, while others offer a more subtle look that blends in with all interior styles. There is even the suite with an LED glow log effect to give the appearance of a real fire without using any fuel.

When it comes to fireplaces there are four kinds that are available: wood (nice to feel and view but less efficient; emits air pollutants such as particulate matter, carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide); gas (more efficient in energy use, but still produces carbon monoxide and burns synthetic or natural logs) and electric (uses an electric coil and fan system, doesn't release any dangerous gases, very economical and cozy). If you're looking to make the most of your fireplace make sure you choose one that has high BTUs. This will warm your home faster and provide a more authentic flame effect.
