Slow computers are the greatest nemesis of those who have to rush a paper or presentation and those for whom creating back-up files is not a hobby. Luckily for such slow pokes, they are no longer doomed to the second-hand computer store. There are several programs now that claim to speed up ultra slow computers by tweaking their memory, registry and annihilating unwanted and unneeded files. On registry cleaner reviews you can find the hottest choices there are. They work by scanning the entire system of your PC for clutters and delete them, since they only add up to the files processed every time the computer is turned on or a program is run. A good registry tool also flags corrupted files, as well as fragmented files, to reduce the risk of the dreadfully famous Blue Screen of Death.

One of the popular registry cleaners that are in circulation online is CCleaner, and it is just so popular that it is even included in software bundles and OS packages in most new desktops and laptops sold today. Now, it is true that RegClean has the title of being the easiest to use registry tool and that Registry Sweep has the best technical support. If you would ask then why CCleaner for Mac OS is still so popular, one of the reasons would be the fact that it is a freeware. However, that is not all there is to CCleaner. It boasts of a powerful scan engine that allows it to sweep your computer off of unnecessary files that clutter the system.

It has a dual scan system. The first scan looks for registry entries that are left out whenever you install or uninstall softwares or hardwares, as well as other unnecessary files. It also flags fake references and just about anything that is not needed anymore and only slows down your computer's processes. Meanwhile, the second scan makes sure that everything gets deleted should be deleted. It filters the result of the first scan, separating files and analyzing if deleting them would not jeopardize the system and result in errors or complete crash.

But remember that there is nothing for free on the Internet. So what is the catch? The majority of freeware that you can download without actually paying anything more likely they will come with adware and malware. I personally don't like any one to spy on my personal computer. On the whole, this dual scan feature of CCleaner makes it one of best registry cleaners you can get without having to pay anything. It is also the what places CCleaner close to RegCure, even though the latter has a much better tech support and interface and most importantly it is adware free.
