Espag handles are the most popular design of handle used on windows made of upvc (they're often found in aluminium and wood too). The handles are square with a spindle that extends from the handle's back and locks into the multi-point locking mechanism that is on the window. The handle is used to control the locking mechanism around the window.

Window handles from Espag come in many different styles and functions. Some have the option of a button for a locked' closed position and key-locking (and fire-escape non-locking where required). Many reach the Secure by Design specification to provide an extra level of security. A major benefit is that they allow you to clean your windows from inside without having to use ladders outside. This is particularly beneficial for those who live high up in buildings or flats, as it doesn't require you to take a risk of falling from an elevated position.
