Cheap Single Pushchairs

The Babyzen Yoyo stroller is a excellent choice if you're on a budget and do not need a stroller which can also be used as a car seat carrier. It has a flip-flop friendly one-step footbrake.

It's easy to push and it is solid when navigating kerbs and woodland paths. Additionally, it's easy to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a name as the ultimate lightweight buggy for jet-setters and city dwellers alike, thanks to its super nimble manoeuvrability and fold-down that fits into the overhead luggage of aeroplanes. This latest version features independent suspension on all four wheels comprised of Hytrel elastomer, allowing it to 'perfectly traverse all types and terrains'.

The base YOYO2 frame along with the curved fabric bassinet and 6+ month color pack create a stylish pushchair that's easy on the eyes with a subtle yet elegant design and stylish branding. The frame's weight alone is just over a kilogram and is so light that you can lift it directly from the box (and do it using one hand).

It's also easy to attach or remove attachments or adaptors such as the hood, for example, snaps onto the YOYO2 with reassuring clicks and is machine washable at 30 degrees to help deter staining from rice cakes that have been smashed and half-dissolved carrot puffs. It can be used as a pram right from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted into a stroller after 6 months by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a fantastic choice for parents who are looking for a stroller that can be used in a variety of ways. It transforms from a stroller into a wagon by simply flipping the handle, so parents can pick the mode they prefer for their journey. The wagon can accommodate one or two children from 6 months to 5 years old. It has a huge storage basket that will hold everything you need when you are on the move.

The Xplore also comes with two canopies that turn from the front to the back, offering ample sun protection for all family members. It also has a footwell, which is not as deep or large as some wagons, so it may not be ideal for long trips or napping.

The frame on the Xplore feels sturdy and solid however it doesn't have the same flexibility as other wagons we tested. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competition, and it does not close tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and it is able to fit through narrow 28 inches doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side by Side

This basic double stroller from Delta Children is an excellent option for parents seeking an affordable second stroller for their travels. It scored high in our Strollers & Multiples Test for its weight and folded dimensions. This means it's lightweight, compact when folded, and easy to move and store into a car trunk. It also has an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and a cup holder for the parent. Other key features include two large hanging storage bags and 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

In our test of the push and turn, it did better than many of the other strollers of a similar price we tried, but it's not the most maneuverable on uneven terrain or through narrow doors. The sunshades it has are among the smallest we tested, offering only direct overhead coverage and no windows that peek out. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger sunshades.

The Delta took us just under 3 minutes to put together using an average manual and no components required tools. But, it's lacking some critical features that we think it is important to consider as non-negotiable features in a double stroller, such as an extra-large basket and reclining seats with adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is Maxi-Cosi’s newest pushchair that is advertised as an urban travel system. It is suitable from birth until 3.5-years-old. The seat and carrycot can be easily converted with only a few clicks. It can also be used with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats and comes with the lightweight Mico 30 infant car seat, stay-in-car base, and a reversible car.

The seat reclines with one hand, and the large shopping basket makes it easy for parents to take their child in and out. This narrow pushchair handled all day bumps and doorways easily.

The front wheels can be locked in an forward position or let them swivel which is helpful when traversing rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to rotate on our walk along the stony path. It handled the situation well, although it seemed slightly rougher.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most famous for its 3-wheeled all-terrain, strollers that jog. But they also make a broad selection of pushchairs with four wheels. The City Tour 2 is one of their most popular models. It is simple to use and folds down small enough to fit into a car boot even with the carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than other strollers we test, but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and sturdy. It is able to maneuver effortlessly across all types of terrain and it's also a breeze to lift even with two children and a shopping bag.

Both the carrycot and seat have hoods that can be removed to reveal the UV50+ sun canopy extension. They are water-resistant and durable unlike other pram hoods that are bounced back into toddlers' faces.

It's not the biggest of storage space, however it does have a big basket that's deep enough for a changing bag as well as plenty of groceries. It can also be linked with a Baby Jogger infant car seat to create a travel system for babies up to 20 pounds (car seat and adapters sold separately). The City Tour 2 is a excellent choice if you wish to use a stroller on the move.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

Nuna Mixx was a stroller that won the hearts of a large number of parents when it first came out. It is an aluminium-framed stroller that can be used from the infant's first days until. It has a number of notable features, including the ability to flip the seat to be parent-facing and world-facing, a large UPF 50+ canopy with an eye-shade that flips out, a spacious basket and adjustable handlebar.

The wheels are strong and foam-filled which minimises punctures and the chassis has built-in suspension that takes the sting out of bumpy terrain. Our tester found it smooth to push and was able to maneuver it through tight streets with ease.

It folds down in four easy steps, and locks automatically with no fuss. It also stands and can be carried by trolley for easier transport in the car's boot or down the stairs at home. The travel system is offered with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes have only one action and are color coded. They also are compatible with flip-flops.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget-friendly pushchair is simple to use and has a great dual suspension. It can be folded by one hand and comes with a handy carrying strap. It's also extremely light and robust. The seat can be reclined into several positions. It has a built-in double-breathable mattress that can be used for babies from birth.

The canopy/seat comes with two large sun visors that can be either fixed or flipped out. Both are UPF50+. However, the toggle closure isn't ideal because it's not as quiet as Velcro and may wake napping babies.

The Duet is a angled stroller that can be used for twins or siblings. (Up to 22kg per seat). It is compatible with two infant car seats and some carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be positioned so that they face each other. They can also be oriented to face the parents. This should reduce sibling disputes about who sits with mom and dad. It has a huge bottle holder, gear tray snack tray, and a change mat. It also has an automated frame lock as well as a compact fold.

8. Pushchairs & Prams UK glide 2 is a great jogger for parents who love to be active. It is one of the lightest strollers for running that you can buy for your child. It also comes with excellent safety features, including a 5-point safety harness and wrist safety straps. It has a different type of hand brake unlike other models that is an innovative twist.

The seat is padded and provides a wide area to sit. However the seat's depth is smaller than that of other runners (it's just about 10 inches") The storage bin has a zippered cover to help keep items safe. It can hold up to 10 lbs., which is sufficient for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters that will fit the majority of bassinets and car seats for infants, but you can use them starting from the first day with adapters that will fit brands such as BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It folds down compactly and takes between 5 and 10 minutes to put together with no tools. The instruction manual is easy to understand and includes multiple languages.
