Best 3 Wheel Pushchairs

All-terrain pushchair that provides lightweight durability and great maneuverability. The compact fold using one hand makes it easy to transport. It also stands on its own when folded. The padded seat reclines to a nearly flat position, and there's a huge canopy and storage bin. The suitability for newborns is yes, with an additional carrycot.

A well-constructed suspension and air-filled tires will help you navigate through rough terrain. It's also suitable for jogging, although you must wait until your baby is at least six or nine months old before doing this.

Ickle Bubba XL Air

This pushchair from Ickle Bubba is an excellent choice for parents who want lightweight strollers with added features. The travel system comes with an adjustable carrycot that can be folded flat for newborns and an adjustable forward and rear facing seat for the pushchair.

The XL Air is a very impressive buggy. It's easy to understand why it's earned such high marks from its customers. It is incredibly lightweight The chassis and wheels weigh just 6.5kg. It's also very simple to put together. In fact I was able put it up and running in just five minutes, which is impressive considering it included attaching the fabric for the carrycot!

It has a nice, wide seat that was comfortable for Annie (who is 12 months) and the recline lever is very simple to use. The basket has plenty of room and I am impressed that the handle bar features pockets to keep your keys and phone safe.

The only slight downside is that the handlebar is quite low, which can be an issue for taller parents. It's covered in a soft, comfy leather-like material, which is easy to wipe down.

Hauck Pushchair Runner

The Runner is made for sporty parents who are eager to get outside and explore. The large pneumatic wheels are able to be used on forest and field paths. The front wheel is lockable and can be swiveled to allow for greater versatility. It also has a padded 5-point safety harness as well as a front bar to ensure your child is safe on all trips while the parking brake effectively stops the stroller from moving while you take a break. The seat can be repositioned to a laying position and the canopy can be opened maximum air circulation on hot days. The handle can be height-adjusted by more than 30cm to accommodate dad or mum's heights.

If you're planning a quick jog or a hike that lasts a while, the Runner will be there to accompany you on all your adventures with a comfortable, flat lie-flat seat and suspension air wheels that promise a bump-free ride. The front wheel can be locked for more stability on narrow streets or crowded sidewalks. The stroller is also able to fold in order to fit into car boot spaces or storage areas.

The Runner 2 is a bit more difficult to maneuver for some parents than its predecessor. Also, the locking system (requiring two buttons on either side of the handlebar) is less user-friendly. The handlebar is higher than the ones of competitors and therefore it may not suit shorter parents but overall, it's a sturdy and versatile stroller worth considering for active families.

Red Kite Push Me walking

The Pace is another great offering from Red Kite, an affordable British brand which prides itself on making simple and well-designed parenting essentials. It's their latest and the most expensive addition to their bargain lightweight stroller line. Like the Ickle Bubba Aurora or Yoyo, it is car seat compatible so you can use from birth.

The new Pace features some stunning design elements, like the rose gold tint of the chassis, hood and stroller trims to make it stand out from its competitors. The grey, tan and cream fabrics used in the stroller as well as the car seat are super fashionable and there's an option to add the leather handle for the cover and bumper bar, too.

The stroller seat can be used from birth to 22kg. It converts easily to a two-in-one reversible position, which is either parent-facing or facing the world. The stroller seat offers multiple lie back positions, comfortable padded leg rests and an extendable sun canopy featuring concealed zip sections, viewing see through flap and a retractable sun visor section.

Bugaboo Fox 5

Bugaboo's Fox 5 is designed to be the ultimate, all-terrain stroller. Its unique chassis, which has a shorter wheel-distance, makes it more maneuverable than its predecessor. I tried it out with my two kids eight weeks old and a toddler - on rocky pavements along with grassy wooded trails and even cobblestones.

The large puncture-proof wheels - 22cm or 30cm in diameter they can be used on different terrains. The wheels have a flap that can be closed or opened to let air in when needed. It is a little bigger than some pushchairs, but it does not feel heavy or bulky when pushing it across bumpy surfaces.

The seat fabric is machine washable and the frame and faux leather grips are easy to clean. It's also a lot quieter than some pushchairs, and I felt comfortable using it on busy city streets. It comes with accessory points so you can attach parasols and footmuffs as well as changing bags as well as snack trays and even snack tray. The hood can be used to block the elements of wind and rain, but it's not waterproof. The single pram is able to be fitted with the Comfort Wheeled Board (not included), which gives your child more legroom. It took about 20 minutes to put together the bassinet, and a similar amount of time to transform it into the seat.
