Upgrade Your Home With an Electric Wall Fireplace

If you want to enjoy the warmth of a fireplace, but without the heat, think about an electric freestanding model. Or, you can opt for a recessed wall-mounted model to fit in an existing cutout.

Some models have the Spectrafire technology, which produces realistic flames. They also have no-heat options to conserve energy.

In-wall

In contrast to wood-burning and gas-burning fireplaces, electric models do not require chimneys or venting, and can be used with no fear of smoke or burns inhalation. This allows them to be safely placed over televisions or artwork and in places where a traditional hearth isn't practical or feasible to install.

A few of our latest wall-mounted electric fire places offer recessed installation for an elegant, built-in look. Fully recessed models can be fitted into a 2x6 frame wall opening. They can also be concealed with a trim kit. Other models, such as the Scion Trinity, can be put up on the floor. They come with a broad variety of flame colors, ember colours and stunning crystal media.

This wall-mounted model offers additional warmth with its LED flames that flicker and can also serve as a freestanding decorative feature to add a touch of elegance to any room of the home. With a variety of ember colors, flame brightness levels and heat cycle on/off controls this electric fireplace is one of the most versatile on the market.

Wall-mounted

Fireplace inserts and wall mounted electric fireplaces offer the same warm and inviting ambience to a room, but they are installed differently. Fireplace inserts fit into an existing opening in a fireplace, whether it's a masonry fire or a wood-burning one. They can be fully recessed or partially recessible. They can also be plugged in or hard-wired to electricity and can be used with different media options like driftwood log sets.

The wall-mounted electric fire places don't require any retrofitting. They are simple to operate and can be hung as a work of art. They can be utilized in a variety of spaces, including living rooms, bedrooms and home offices. They can be hung with or without heating depending on what you prefer and the amount of warmth you need in the space.

Electric fireplaces that mount on the wall are available in different styles. From an elegant, modern linear model to one with traditional design. Some of these electric fireplaces feature an LED fire display which recreates the look and feel of real flames. You can also add driftwood logs to give an even more realistic appearance. Some models provide a variety of flame color, so you can alter the look of your fireplace to match your decor.

Before electric wall mount fireplaces start, read the instructions to install a wall-mounted electric fireplace. These instructions will help you determine if your electric fireplace is a plug-in or built in model, and give you the kind of wall structure you'll have to put it on. In addition, check your local codes to make sure that your fireplace is safe to use in your home.

Electric fireplaces are the best option for those who wish to replicate the look of a fireplace but without the danger of burning gas or wood fire. The latest models of these fireplaces are designed to be as beautiful and durable as possible, making them a great alternative to traditional fireplaces. They can also be used in condos and other multifamily dwellings where it is not feasible to install a wood or gas-burning fireplace.

Floor-mounted

Electric fireplaces can be a versatile alternative to traditional masonry models. They do not require venting systems, chimneys gas lines, or heat management solutions. They provide the same glow and ambience like traditional fireplaces, but with a heating element that provides additional warmth. They don't need chimneys or venting and can be paired with zone heating to save energy bills. Many Touchstone models also come with add-ons like multicolored LED log sets and firebed lights to match any style of home or decor.

Electric fireplaces make use of an additional heater to warm the room. This is done by passing a current through an infrared panel inside the hearth. The heated metal filaments radiate that heat through the front face of the unit, giving the illusion of a fire. Some models have a series or metal cutouts which reflect the light differently, while others have an image on the back of the unit that gives the flames more depth and makes them appear more real.

Electric fireplaces can be put in place quickly and easily, regardless of whether they are wall-mounted or fully recessed. This is a fantastic option for homeowners who wish to make changes to their home quickly. While a recessed electric fireplace must be inserted into the wall and a bump-out made, it is not as complicated as putting up a gas hearth. A homeowner who is confident cutting 2x6s and framing and completing the bump-out is usually able to finish the job within the course of a weekend.

However, if the homeowner isn't confident with these tasks or doesn't have the right tools on hand, it may be best to have an electrician come in for a consultation. A wall-mounted electric fireplace is hung on the wall like a television and is plugged into an outlet. Certain models come with an entertainment stand that conceals the electronics and can double as a TV stand and others come with built-in shelves to store additional items. Both models are typically cool to the touch and are a good choice for homes with children.

Portable

If you're looking for a contemporary affordable way to enhance your home with the warmth and ambience of an electric fireplace, consider buying a freestanding model. They're available as wall-mounted models and traditional mantel-style models. The remote control allows you to control the heat and flame settings. They can also be easily integrated into your smart home system.

The heating element in an electric fireplace portable produces 5,000 BTUs per hour, which is on par with a space heater. The blower of the fireplace is able to push warm air into the space and spreads out throughout. Most electric fireplaces come with the feature of a flame-simulation function that utilizes LEDs to create an aesthetically appealing flickering flame effect. Some models also have an exterior panel which projects the flames onto the wall or any other surface.

Unlike gas and wood-burning fireplaces Electric fireplaces can be used as supplemental or primary sources of heat. They aren't as efficient at heating large areas as other fireplaces. You'll need to install zone heating to get the most out of them. They're also fantastic because you can turn the heat off and use them for their aesthetic appeal at anytime.

When looking for an electric fireplace, be aware of their security features and the amount of heat that they produce. A majority of these fireplaces are UL-listed, and come with an automatic shutoff timer. In addition they are less inflammable than gas fireplaces and don't usually require vents or chimneys.

Electric fireplaces are also relatively easy to install. The unit comes with mounting kits that include wall anchors and screws. It is recommended to consult your manufacturer's instructions to ensure the proper installation, which will depend on the kind of mount you choose and the location in your home. You should also check the maximum size of the screen your fireplace can fit. You don't want a larger model to be too big for your home.
