Tunnel Containers

Like the name suggests, the key feature of tunnel containers is the dual-door design at each end of the container. This greatly improves access, making tunnel containers ideal for storage and goods handling.

They can also be converted into self-storage units with the addition of an enclosure. We have also helped customers use them to house equipment for their plants and to provide secure access to their site using turnstiles.

Dual Access

Tunnel containers are an alternative to a standard shipping container with double doors at both ends. These containers are also known as a "double door end container" or a "tunnel-shaped container". They provide access to the stored items on both ends.

The dual-end access allows cargo to be loaded and unloaded from either side of the container. This is ideal when you're moving larger or bulkier goods that would otherwise need to be backed into and out of the container. Double-end access also removes the necessity of unloading the entire container to access the goods that are stored inside, which reduces time and reduces the risk of damage during transportation.

This clever feature makes these tunnel containers flexible and adaptable. They can be used for a broad range of storage and transportation requirements, such as being transformed into living spaces or mobile offices. They are made of durable, corrosion resistant Corten steel that can stand up to the most severe weather conditions.

If you are looking for a more secure solution we can weld steel bulkheads onto one of the long sides, resulting in two storage compartments that measure 10ft. This makes them perfect for self storage businesses who want to increase security by segregating their customer's items into distinct areas. Double-end door containers are very popular at large events as ticket entrances because they can handle large crowds and keep them dry.

Our 20ft double door tunnel containers come with fork pockets that can be used with industrial forklifts. This means they can be easily stacked or lifted at the corners of each long side. They are also fitted with heaters and PIR insulation making them ideal for year-round storage.

If you're looking for a custom-designed container We can also create tunnel containers that are custom-sized to match your specific requirements. We can make containers in double-sided and single-sided versions and in a variety of lengths. However a custom-sized tunnel container is more expensive than a standard shipping container, so we recommend selecting the one that is closest to your requirements.

Temperature-Sensitive Goods

Most dangerous goods including explosives, flammable liquids and organic peroxides require storage at optimal temperatures. Temperature fluctuations can trigger a variety of problems, such as explosion and toxic fumes. When storing temperature-sensitive hazardous goods, it's essential that container terminal facilities are equipped with the appropriate monitoring equipment to track and identify any anomalies or deviations from set temperatures.

Often, these fluctuations can be difficult to spot, especially during a hectic workday. Container terminals should have an instrument to monitor the temperature of all reefer containers within their facility. This allows staff to react quickly to any abnormalities and prevent any risks.

Tunnel containers are a practical option when it comes to transporting and storing temperature-sensitive goods. Double doors are found at both ends of the container which makes it easier to load and unload during transportation and storage. They can also be used to store bulky objects such as vehicles and machinery.

These modified containers are usually constructed from the standard 20 or 40 foot shipping container, the solid end is removed, and a new set of double doors are welded in place, creating two-way access. These modified containers are commonly used on construction sites where heavy machinery must be passed over and under.

Some container terminals convert their tunnel shipping containers into secure entrances to their sites with a turnstile installed as people pass through. Although these conversions aren't offered in a standard size however, they can be made to meet the specific needs of the customer and are highly cost effective compared to constructing an entire facility from scratch. Tunnel containers are typically only available in a "new one-time use condition. This is due to the fact that their owners construct them to meet a specific need and then retain them for a period of time. This makes them a highly sought after product for those looking to expand their business or storage capacity in warehouses without having to invest in an entirely new refrigerated facility. They are also a very economical solution for those who want to store temperature-sensitive goods over long periods of time, or for transporting large volumes of cargo over long distances.

Convenient Storage

If you're looking to store space for your cargo, a tunnel container is an ideal choice. The containers are double doors at both ends of the container, unlike traditional dry storage containers that have a door on one end. This means that you can access the storage container from either side and have easier access and faster loading and unloading of items.

This dual entry point is particularly beneficial when storing goods that require regular access, like machinery and equipment. It means that you don't have to constantly reverse vehicles into and out of the container, which could damage both your vehicle and the container.

You can also store goods in a tunnel container when you want to keep a certain temperature. The thermal and refrigerator tunnel containers are perfect for this, as they feature temperature control that keeps the contents at a specific temperature.

A tunnel container is a great solution for a garage or workshop. It allows you to reach all parts of your workspace easily without having to move any furniture. The double doors at each end also let you move into and out of your storage container in a matter of minutes in the event of need.

One-trip tunnel containers can be constructed from new with two sets of double doors or adapted from a standard shipping container. In tunnel container uses of the container is removed and a set of double doors installed at each end of the container.

Shipping containers such as these are typically only available as new in a 'one-trip condition' since their owners have built them specifically for a certain purpose and don't want to be sold. However, you are able to purchase refurbished tunnels from companies that offer this type of container. These containers that have been refurbished are tested to ensure that they are safe to transport and can be sold along with an extended warranty.

Easy Transportation

Double cargo doors at both ends of the tunnel container make it easy to load and unload goods from either end. This makes them ideal for carrying all kinds of general and bulk cargo, including special goods such as motorbikes or cars. They are also frequently used as makeshift tunnels at construction sites due their durability, safety and flexibility to modify.

Shipping containers with double doors can be great storage. The ability to access both sides of the container means that there is no need to completely unload goods or remove a section of the container in order to access the items stored in the back, which will save time and money. The doors at both ends can be locked to stop unauthorised access.

These containers are extremely durable, and because they're constructed of corten steel they're designed to withstand harsh weather conditions. They're wind and watertight and come with ventilation to ensure sufficient airflow. These features protect goods from moisture, making it less likely for them to suffer from loss and spoilage.

Based on your requirements, you can choose from a variety of options for a tunnel container. Open top containers, for example, have a bow-top that can be removed to enable loading large and heavy cargo more convenient. Side-open containers come with doors that are placed on the sides of the container, making them ideal for storage of smaller items. A refrigerated ISO container, or reefer, has a regulated temperature and can be used to store temperature-sensitive goods.

These containers come in both new and refurbished sizes of 40 and 20 feet and have doors at both ends to facilitate loading. They can also be customized to meet your individual requirements however, this will cost more than a standard double-end door container.
