Best Robot Vacuums and Mop Systems

This robot vacuum-mop is an excellent option for flat dwellers, as it carries the rubbish away in its own bin and utilizes a smaller docking station. The app allows you to choose different modes and monitor cleaning and mopping. The mopping feature is awe-inspiring.

Its mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance are impressive, and it scrubs very well and removes pet hair, spills and dirt. It also self-empties and self-cleans and refills its water tank.

iRobot Roomba Combination

The iRobot Combo adds mopping to the already impressive vacuuming capabilities of the robot. The iRobot Combo can't replace our Editors' Choice winner, the Deebot X1 Omni. It scrubs more, and has an app for mobile devices that is more user-friendly, but it's a good alternative. In our tests it was consistently able to remove dirt of all sizes and types from carpets and hard floors. Its obstacle avoidance isn't as sophisticated as other systems, like LiDAR or structured light, but it manages to prevent most collisions.

The Combo comes with many of the same smarts that the J7 Plus does, including onboard acoustic sensor to determine the floor type and AI-powered Navigation, however it doesn't have the ability to control suction power using a hand. It's also a little less compact than its vac-only counterpart, and it doesn't have a self-empty dock.

The Combo is one of my top choices for most homes. Its elegant design is also one of the best I've seen in the market. The clean, matte black plastic looks better than most competitors' glossy or metallic finishes, and iRobot's small touches--like a leather tab to open the bin onboard and a shelf within the dock that can hold additional bags--are more elegant than the majority of its competitors'. The iRobot Combo also allows you to easily create maps of your home, and to set up Keep-Out Zones, No-Mop Zones, and Clean Zones.

Roborock

While Roborock is relatively new to the robot vacuum and mop market, it's already made its mark thanks to a suite of innovative cleaning technologies. Roborock's vacuums are world-class in suction, while its mopping systems utilize vibrating mops to keep floors of dirt. Furthermore, a range of scheduling and mapping options let you fine-tune the schedule of cleaning for your home's specific needs.

Another amazing Roborock feature is the obstacle avoidance, which lets the robot detect objects lower than its height. This is particularly useful for Roborock's most popular models, like the Qrevo Master. It is the best in its class when it comes to navigation, due to the combination of vSLAM, and LiDAR. Other robovacs have been known to run over pet faeces and slam furniture without noticing. The Qrevo Master however, addresses this issue with an AI system called Reactive that uses two cameras to see objects within the room.

Roborock robots are also equipped with numerous convenience features that reduce day-to-day maintenance, including auto-empty docks, as well as multi-functional mop washing stations. These features make it unnecessary to empty dustbins or wash mops manually, making for a truly hands free ownership experience. The app is simple to use thanks to its simple design and the lag-free connection with the robot.

Hobot Legee D8

With a wide range of cleaning modes that are integrated and advanced mopping features, the Hobot Legee is among the top robot vacuums/mops for both dry and wet floors. Its advanced navigation system combines five technologies to plan and execute the most efficient route. It can also identify different flooring materials, as well as obstacles with precision. It can even lift itself 7mm to glide across carpets. The smart spray system uses the right amount of water to remove the stains, without leaving ugly water marks.

The Legee, a Gen 4 Robot, competes directly against the Eufy Robovac X9 or Ecovacs Deebot T20. Both of them cost more. It comes with more features than either one and has a more flexible, D-shaped body that is able to clean the corners and under cabinets better than a round one. Its sensors include 360deg (3D) (Lidar Encoder Gyro and E-compass), 4 forward-facing and 1 right-side-facing (IR ToF distance sensors) and two pairs of cliff detectors, front and rear (most robots only have one pair). The robot also comes with Legee SLAM that helps to reduce the bump-and-grind issues that plague Gen 4 Robots.

The Legee is different from other robots due to the fact that it has a trash compactor built-in and uses the more quiet 5 GHz band of Wi-Fi. The included LuLu mop cleaning station washes, refills, and dry the mop's cloth. The mop can be used up to six-times longer than other mops. It also cuts down on waste and frequency of emptying bins.

Karcher RCV 5

The brand is known for its pressure washers and garden tools, Karcher has been dabbling in robot vacuums for quite a while and this is the brand's most technologically advanced model. Powered by LiDAR, it creates maps of your house and can be programmed to mop or vacuum. It can also detect the difference between carpets and hard floors so that you don't end up with puddles on a precious pile.

Its navigation is superb, avoiding furniture or rugs easily. It can even raise itself over steps. The machine can be customised with a variety of settings, including cleaning schedules and rooms it is required to be cleaning. It also has a handy 'emergency' button that will make the robot return to base when it is running out of power, and it can be set to automatically turn itself off when a storm is approaching.

The RCV 5 is very easy to use and, despite being heavy, at around 4kg, you won't experience difficulty moving it around furniture. Parents of small children will appreciate the safety features such as sensors that warn it to stay clear of the stairs. Once it is charged the device will take only several hours to fully charge, and the two buttons on the top will turn green to signal that it is now ready to use.

Mova E30 Ultra

The Mova E30 Ultra robot vacuum cleaner is a robot that balances advanced technology with a low price. It is a rival to models like the Dreame L10 Ultra and Roborock's Q Revo. Despite its less expensive price it is worth the price. Mova E30 Ultra offers features that more expensive models aren't able to beat. It uses sensors to alter the settings for various surfaces and floors and also to find areas with dirtier surfaces. It also moves at a slow speeds to avoid damage to furniture and walls.

You can also see the map of your house in the app. You can also mark certain rooms and objects you would like the vacuum to stay clear of. The vacuum will slow down when it detects an obstruction and will avoid hitting it. It also has a an intelligent dustbin that will notify you when it's full, so that you can empty it in time.

The Mova E30 Ultra offers a cost-effective option for those who wish to outsource their daily cleaning tasks. It's a robot mop and vacuum cleaner that can clean your floors without having to lift a single finger. It also features a clever design that boosts corner cleaning efficiency by up to 60%. It has up to 7000 Pa of suction power as well as RoboSwing arms. It can be controlled using the app or voice assistants such as Alexa or Siri.

Beko RCV3

The Beko Robotic Vacuum/Mop RCV3 is an elegant, feature-packed vacuum and mop. It does a great job of keeping floors tidy and clean. Although it isn't able to raise its mops on carpets or rugs like the winning Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra it's very good at both cleaning hard floors and taking on mopping with a stunning speed. It also comes with a self-emptying bin that provides an adequate amount of suction power, offers many mopping options and is operated by a high-end application that runs on both iOS and Android.

It's a bit smaller than many of the competition and its main brush is shorter than most but it still did a great job of making short work of our test room effortlessly. The revolving edge brush on the side is a great addition. While it didn't remove dirt as well as some of the competitors, it did a good job.

The device can be programmed with individual cleaning parameters for each room. It will then create detailed maps using the built-in LiDAR navigation. The app is simple to use and offers an array of voice output options that can keep you informed about the condition of your robot. Regular updates to the software improve and increase the performance. The application can be used to remotely manage the RCV3 even when you are away from home.
