Best Robot Floor Cleaner

Robotic mops are more effective than vacuum cleaners that need you to clean the floor before they can perform their job. They also do a better job of cleaning near edges and thresholds.

Our top choice is the iRobot Combo j5+, which scored well in CR's tests of vacuuming and mopping. It can navigate around obstacles within the home, and clean hardwood floors as well as carpets with low pile.

iRobot Roomba Combo i5

This robot mop and vacuum is among iRobot's most versatile machines. It has an ordinary dustbin for dry waste, and a separate water tank to handle wet waste. The tank is simple to fill and will notify you when it's empty. You can also purchase a factory-compatible cleaning concentrate to use with this machine.

It does a great job of maneuvering floors and avoiding obstacles. It has a retractable mops that prevents carpets from getting wet. It also excels in removing pet hair from various floor surfaces. However, it is loud and doesn't perform the job as well as its competitors at picking up dirt and debris from the bare floors.

The Roomba Combo i5 is an ideal choice for those who need a powerful device that can handle both vacuuming and mopping without any additional equipment. It is a good fit for homes that don't have carpeting and are mostly made of hard flooring. It is however not the best choice for homes with a lot of stairs or rooms with a lot of rugs. It is also expensive however, it comes with the features and performance that justify the price.

It utilizes patented Dirt Detect technology to identify areas with a higher amount of dirt and to clean them more thoroughly than other 2-in-1s. It also has advanced navigation, which allows it to follow neat rows and thoroughly clean walls. The mop pads can be washed and reused for 30 times.

Create your own personal cleaning schedule using the iRobot Home App or your voice assistant1. Use the iRobot App to set the schedule and add rooms that you'd like to avoid during future mopping sessions.

The iRobot Combo j5+ is a more budget-friendly option than the i7 or j9 combo models. It has similar mop models with the patented dirt detection system and powerful vacuuming. The iRobot J5+ also performs very well in our mopping and vacuum stress tests, but it's not as efficient as the Ecovacs Deebot Omni in these tests, making the Combo J5+ a less flexible option.

iRobot Roomba Combo j5+

The iRobot Roomba Combo j5+ is a complete robot floor cleaner that can mop and vacuum your floors at the same time. It comes with an advanced navigation system that allows it to map out your home and adjust to different floor types. robotic vacuum cleaners allows for efficient cleaning from one room to the next. It can also identify obstacles like furniture, walls and pet toys. It is also equipped with a special mopping pad that is able to tackle dirt, footprints, and dust on one-of-a-kind surfaces.

Simply connect the mops, fill up the combo bin with water or a compatible cleaner and it will get to work. You can also control the robot using voice commands when you pair it with Alexa or Siri-enabled devices. Moreover the Combo j5+ is designed to understand more voice commands than other 2-in-1 models.

When cleaning is concerned the Combo J5+ performs admirably on hardwood floors as well as carpets. It has a powerful, 4-stage cleaning system that sweeps up debris, mops the floor, and then removes any remaining dirt. This assures that your floors are properly cleaned and look like new.

You can create No Mop Zones on the iRobot App or use voice assistants* in order to keep your carpets dry from getting wet. Additionally the Mopping Intelligence technology helps to keep your carpets dry by detecting and lifting mop pads that are wet out of carpeted areas.

This robotic floor cleaner is easy to maintain with minimal cleaning requirements. The brushes need to be removed periodically to remove hair and other debris, and the side brush can be cleaned out to prevent the clogging. It is necessary to replace the filter on a regular basis.

The iRobot app comes with a variety of options and controls to make cleaning as convenient as possible. You can schedule cleaning sessions, view your cleaning history and alter your settings. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra, a highly rated and extremely functional Gen 4 robotic vacuum and mop is a high-quality machine. The $1,400 list price is difficult to swallow, but you will find it on sale often enough to make the purchase more appealing. The unit is beautiful, and the base station occupies very little space in a corner of an area.

The design of this robot addresses a few problems that we've had with other robotic vacuum and mop models, for example, the brushes getting tangled in hair, and the vacuum brush being unable to reach floors with no furniture. The performance of the sweeper on carpets and floors that are not covered is also impressive. The vacuum/mop has a high level debris pickup and the mop will quickly soak up flooring.

The mops also use a smart system to clean along the edges of furniture and walls. The robot can handle the largest obstacles like toys, food bowls, backpacks, and shoes without any difficulty. It could get caught or get stuck with smaller, more compact objects such as shoelaces, USB cable and pens.

This robot was used to mop and vacuum hardwood flooring, FLOR carpet tiles and pile rugs in a large open-plan home. It cleaned and mopped the area of 90m2 in 170 minutes, with FREO Mind enabled. This is a bit more than average for Gen 4 robots.

This robot is distinguished by a variety of characteristics. The Freo X Ultra has a slew of software, sensor, and hardware improvements engineered to keep it at the top of its game. It promises 3.5 hours of autonomy in areas up to 260m2.

Freo's app lets you customize multiple functions, including how often the robot goes back to the base station. You can also alter the frequency of mopping, the power level (silent or intelligent), or the mopping's humidity. The app can identify heavily dirty spots and create an appropriate cleaning route. It can also dispense detergent or raise the carpet pads.

Other noteworthy features include a rapid charging battery, a simple-to-read display on the robot's underside, and a convenient dock door that opens easily. The Freo X Ultra is the ideal vacuum and mop for homeowners and apartment owners who want to make a difference in their chores while still keeping their homes clean and tidy.

Miele Scout RX3

Miele is a name synonymous with quality and innovation in the field of robot vacuuming. This new model is designed to take cleaning performance to a new level, with its smart features.

The RX3 features dual suction and intelligent navigation that includes 3D mapping and a camera which transmits a live image to your smartphone for easy control. The RX3's four-stage system provides excellent dust collection on carpets and hard floors. Side brushes can be swept out as well as dual suction channels and a user-friendly interface clean corners. Its 8.5 cm height lets it reach under low furniture. Front cameras and infrared sensor assist in navigating obstacles, thresholds and obstructions with ease.

The Scout RX3 impressed us in our tests on how well it was able to clean baking powder around corners and baseboards. Its 2,500Pa suction was weaker than other robots, but it was quiet and moved quickly. It didn't clean, however and its cleaning pads were fiddly to attach and couldn't cope with dried-on dirt.

The app is on the basic side, lacking advanced features like multiple cleaning modes and automated scheduling. It does work with Alexa however, its voice controls aren't particularly precise or responsive. It's also a little erratic when it returns to the charging station after a run. Other robots can follow a wall or trace a previous route, but the RX3 is a mess until it quits.

We also experienced issues with the intelligent features of the device, including its mapping feature and digital stay-out zones. While it did a good job of keeping away from our shoes and furniture legs but it could easily be stuck by socks and cables, and it was not able to manage the tassels on rugs. We didn't include the Scout RX3 in our Best Buy list. The Scout RX3 offers a good price and impressive performance. It's worth looking into as an alternative to uprights that are traditionally used.
