World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

The upgrade of an item can be used to improve the stats of an item. Depending on the upgrade type it could raise an item's Mark level or Rarity, as well as boost other stats.

Upgrades to gear in The War Within requires a specified number of Flightstones and Crests Each item comes with an upgrade track. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a certain amount.

Item Level

When an item is upgraded, its base stats are increased in value. This is the sum of all its leveled up benefits (attack magic attack, attack defense). The cost of upgrading items can be high, depending on the upgrader and what type of upgrade you choose to perform. This is due to how many perks need to be replaced in order for the item to get upgraded.

The level of an item is a popular measurement of power and is visible on all item tooltips. It is also used as a gating requirement when waiting to queue for dungeons and raids and scenarios, and to limit the amount of PvP gear that a player can wear (since PvP is restricted to the lower levels). Players can see their average item level in their character sheet.

When deciding whether to buy or sell equipment, players can compare the levels of the item. It's a good indicator of an item's quality and the amount of damage it will be capable of causing. The item level can also be used to compare items when evaluating the inventory of a seller.

The item level can be checked by pressing the ALT key on a PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the item's full description, including the ilvl. You can also find it by hovering over an item and typing in /itemlevel chat.

There are many theories about the method by which the level of an item is calculated. One theory says that the item level is calculated using a formula that calculates the value of an item's stats actually are. It takes into consideration that different perks are valued differently, and that gems found in sockets boost the value of the item. This can result in a calculated amount for the item's ilvl which is usually quite close to Blizzard's actual level of the item.

However, this is not the only factor which affects an item's ilvl, since the level of the region the item dropped in can change the value of its stats, such as by adding an amount to its haste rating or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have a higher value.

Item Stats

Item stats are a big component of what determines the value of an item for players. The game utilizes them in many ways to encourage players not to restrict themselves to a particular weapon, and to encourage players to explore other weapons. The stat mods on a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by the player's level.

item upgrader to an item may increase the stats of an item. The rarity of an item determines the cost of upgrading. A white or grey item for instance, will only be upgraded once however, items with rare tiers may be upgraded several times at more expensive costs.

Affixes are another way to alter the stats of an item. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can provide the item additional damage, or add a unique capability to the item (such as reviving dead or reducing the cooldowns) or make the item unique by adding a special name to the item.

All affixes can be currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade window pressing the green button. This procedure will cost the player a certain amount of gold and other items, which can be added to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as other rerolling options.

Players can upgrade an item with a specific stat, or reroll affixes. The possible stat ranges of an item are determined by the level of the item, but all items are guaranteed to have at least one stat within the range, unless it is an exclusive item or an item that is a God roll from a boss of a raid.

Another thing that could change is the possibility to upgrade equipment without having to reroll the attaches, or select which stats to increase. But, like base equipment, this would need to be carried out on a per-item basis, and the item compare interface will not show all the stats that could be that were gained or lost at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player stacks up to increase the odds of finding items, the properties spawned on loot drops and the intensity of the properties. However, it doesn't directly affect damage or ability to upgrade items. It merely gives the player a chance to acquire better gear in earlier waves, and is therefore more valuable in the early game as opposed to later ones, as most players prioritize higher weapon scaling and defenses over damage gains.

In addition to influencing item discovery, Luck also increases the chances of success when upgrading items with the Blacksmith. This is not to confuse with the Blacksmith’s overall upgrade chances, which increase with each new level of item. They can also be increased by using anti-materials such as a Scroll of Strength and a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields, and weapons have a default Luck value of 40. These items can be enhanced with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) to add another 40 luck or to boost the luck of the item to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any ability that deals damage by five percent. These items are available in the shop or crafted using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. However, there are cash shop items that allow players to increase their chance of success or stop them from losing an item in the event that the upgrade fails.

item upgrades of success of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage indicates the probability of successful upgrading an item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special Materials. The percentage of success can only be increased by so high, and the probability that an upgrade will fail can't exceed 100%..

The success of an can be affected by the luck of that item. All items have a success rate of 25 percent, and every item with Luck increases the chance of success by 5percent.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory which means that enchantment glints and other effects can be obscured by them. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
