Buying a Twin Stroller With Car Seats

You can choose a lightweight frame that can accommodate two car seats during the baby days. The top choices include the UPPAbaby Vista V2 Double and Joovy twinRoo+.

This model allows the car seat carriers to face either same or opposite directions and comes with a large storage bin that you can access without removing the infant carriers. It can also fit through the majority of doors.

Folding is easy

The UPPAbaby Vista V2 is a huge, beautiful twin stroller. It can hold two infant car seats when fitted with the appropriate adapters (car-seat adapters are sold separately). It glids, turns and pushes like a single-seater stroller. It comes with adjustable legs and foot rests, a large UPF 50+ canopy that has peekaboo windows and padded five-point safety harnesses that are simple to fasten and unfasten. The toddler seat included can be utilized, or you can add the RumbleSeat which is a bassinet like seat for infants and small children. The oversized storage basket is roomy enough for all your stuff and includes a handy place to keep your phone or purse, and four cup holders.

It can be a challenge to fold, particularly when you hold the handlebar in one hand while holding the child's seat in the second. It's also necessary to disconnect the rear seat from the base when you want to fold it up--a process that takes longer than other double strollers we tried. Thankfully, the company has upgraded the Vista to work with its new car seat adapters. The new version (launched in April 2023) is compatible with both the original adapters and the latest ones. It can also be folded using two adapters attached simultaneously.

Another option for families with twins is the Joovy TwinRoo+, our favorite twin stroller for infants. frame. It can be used with a variety of car seats and both babies can be carried in their infant carriers simultaneously. It's a popular choice for parents who drive cars with smaller wheels, and its clever design reduces the overall length to fit better in trunks that are compact. The seats are comfortable and padded, and they can be reclined in multiple positions by pressing the button. The buckles were among the most simple to tighten and unwind in our tests.

The only issue with the TwinRoo+ is that its bench seat is designed for a big kid who's at minimum 2 1/2 years old, so it's not suitable for twins or siblings who are close in age. It's still a great choice for families who want to run, and its tough frame construction means that it will not wear out as fast as other tandems we've tested.

Wheel Suspension

The wheel suspension on twin strollers that have car seats is a feature that makes it more comfortable for children. This is particularly true if you're walking on bumps and rough terrain. Strollers that have suspension have bigger wheels, and they typically have more shocks than those that do not. The more shocks a stroller is equipped with the smoother it will ride.

In addition to being simple to steer, a good wheel suspension can make a twin stroller that has car seats more robust. It will allow it to last longer, which is great when you intend to use it for multiple kids or a long period of time.

The Baby Trend Snap-N Go Double is one of the top twin strollers for infants with car seats. It comes with a great wheel suspension, and it's an old model. It comes with many features parents love, like two cup holders, an integrated parent console that has a cup holder, and a large storage bin. It comes with a height-adjustable handle that can be useful for taller parents.

Another option for twins with infant car seats is the Chicco BravoFor2. This is a sit-and-stand stroller that can be used with one infant car seat in the front or as a twin stroller. It's a spacious stroller that folds to a compact size. It comes with some nice features like magnetic crotch belts that can be opened and closed with just one hand.

It also has a 5-point harness, which is important because it will keep your children safe in the event of an accident. That's something that's not always present on strollers however it's mandatory for any family with newborns or toddlers.

Another top choice for twin strollers with car seats is the Contours Options Elite V2. It has all of the features we love such as reversible seats, one-hand recline, compression padding in both seats, adjustable leg rests, zippered extensions to both canopy and storage space that is extra-large. It also comes with a height-adjustable handrail and an improved seat design to allow for easier reversing of seats while moving.

Canopy

A good canopy keeps your children safe from sun or rain, and a few models have extra features like the peek-a-boo window or the adjustable handles. One of our top choices is the BravoFor2 has an front seat with a buckle that is adjusted at the waist and shoulder. This makes it simple for a single caregiver to take two kids out. Its bench seat can only accommodate children who are at least 2 1/2, so it is not suitable for twins or younger siblings. However, we liked that this stroller folds into a compact unit and comes with a handle on each side to help you carry it to the car.

Some parents prefer a double stroller that can be used side-by-side as it is less likely to cause sibling disputes. These types of strollers also allow you to view both children at once and make it easier for a parent to supervise and talk with them. On the flip side, side-byside models are often heavier and longer than single strollers.

If you are looking for a lightweight and affordable alternative the Baby Trend Double Snap N-Go is a highly-rated and budget-friendly option. It can accommodate two car seats for infants and the more recent version lets the seats be positioned in any direction. The newer version is more compact than the predecessor, but still weighs more and is larger than the Joovy TwinRoo+.

Jeep's Urban Glide 3 is our top-rated twin-jogger that parents enjoy jogging. It can accommodate one car seat at a time, and even though it doesn't come with a built-in infant carrier It can be used with 23 different brands of car seats via the click-in adapter. It's a solid, well-made stroller that can carry big loads without straining. Also, we loved how the handles adjust to fit your height.

If you have two kids with similar age, you might prefer a sit-and-stand model such as the Joovy Twin Roo+. It can be used with the infant car seats or a single toddler seat and comes with a standing platform for older kids to stand on. It's a little more expensive than our budget-friendly stroller but the company behind it is a small, family-owned business that provides excellent customer service.

Seating

If you're planning to use car seats for twins who are infants A stroller that can accept them will be essential. Our top-scoring strollers are compatible with the most well-known car seat brands. The UPPAbaby Vista v2 Double stroller can fit two car seats. The Joovy Twin Roo+ can accommodate a single car seat as well as a bassinet. We prefer strollers that work with multiple infant car seats because you can shop from a wide range of prices and not be shackled to one brand.

You should also consider whether you'd prefer a side-by-side or tandem stroller. A twin stroller that is side-by-side offers an older-fashioned seating arrangement, and it's more maneuverable -- especially in narrow spaces or over curbs. A tandem stroller however, can feel more unstable and requires more space between the seats. Additionally, the various heights of seats can result in sibling squabbles, so we recommend that you choose a tandem stroller only when your children are nearing age.

There are a variety of strollers available for families with twins or children with the same age. The Baby Trend Sit N' Stand double stroller, for example, is a highly rated option that works with car seats. This allows parents to transfer their babies from their vehicle to the double stroller with ease.

The stroller's rear and front storage baskets are large as well. These baskets are ideal for storing all your essentials, including diaper bags, extra clothes, and backpacks. Additionally, the front storage has a dedicated compartment for phones and keys. The baskets come with mesh sides to help prevent items from falling out, so you won't have to look around for them.

Evenflo Pivot Xpand Double is an alternative that is affordable. double pushchair has the same level of versatility as some of our award-winning strollers.
