Driving Licences - Category A1

The category A1 driving license allows you to drive motorcycles with a power output of up to 35kW. This category includes motor tricycles. It is available to those aged over 24 who have completed the compulsory basic training (CBT) and passed a test on theory.

This category also applies to mopeds with a power output of up to 125cc and 11kW. It is also known as the AM category.

Light motorbikes

Light motorbikes typically weigh less than 125cc and have the power of 11kW at their maximum. They are great for people who want to take their first steps into the world motorcycling. They are compact and small which makes them easier to maneuver on roads. They are also of a lower seating height that makes them more comfortable for those who are new to the sport.

You can choose from a variety of bikes in this category according to the category of your licence. The AM driving license permits you to ride motorcycles up to 125cc and has the power to weight ratio of 0.1kW per kilogram.
