It is essential to recognize that congestion is more than simply an inconvenience. It also has a direct economic impact on businesses and the economy as a whole. It is therefore important to use accurate and high-resolution data to capture the day-to-day variations in travel times in order to identify the causes of traffic congestion and to determine the most effective solutions. In addition to monitoring traffic conditions, it is essential to inform the public and businesses about how congestion affects their operations. Clear and consistent communication will help to build awareness of the issue, educate the public on solutions, and motivate business leaders to promote congestion reduction strategies. One option is to boost the capacity of road infrastructure. However, this can be expensive and is often subject to various restrictions, including environmental and land-use regulations.
