World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading The upgrade of an item lets players boost an item's gear rating up 700 points, and then add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the Kiln. Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For instance the perfect broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items, like weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth it. Weapons Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats like damage to attack, crit chance as well as PvE and PvP damage. Weapons have a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition there are many weapons with a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a single unit. This bonus may exceed the damage a weapon upgrade can do on its own. The cost of upgrading a weapon varies on its rarity and current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two standard Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones required to upgrade a gun will increase until it requires more Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one. Upgrades to weapons also alter the stats of their base. This is generally a positive factor, but it could also have negative consequences. In the case of items that are only used in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance) upgrading them can make them unusable unless you happen to have an extremely fortunate roll. It is possible to upgrade armor items to improve their performance. In the case of a helm or chest, this will increase the defense of its base, while gloves and belts enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it is able to roll down to a lower value. The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain when upgrading along with the relative values of those stats. This means that the weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. The 3% does not mean that the weapon will hit three times less, since it is an absolute number. Rerolling a weapon can be possible by pressing the green button in the item menu with the circling arrows. This will roll the item and alter its stats, but it won't reset the weapon's levels or bind to account status. Armor A few upgrades to your armor can make a huge difference to your survival. Certain sets provide massive boosts to poison or curse, fire, and magic resistance, which makes it easier to navigate through tough terrain. The more defense your character has the more value you will get from every point of health you possess, so it's important to upgrade your armor as often as you can. To upgrade your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total and each one requires you to complete a special side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the main quest and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu. The amount of materials required to upgrade each piece of armor will vary. You'll need anywhere from three Red Chuchu jelly and 10 Rupees to upgrade the first armor piece, and between five Rubies or 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns to upgrade the next one. The Champion Leathers, for example, can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in frigid conditions with a large number of adversaries. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other side, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with friends. It isn't possible to upgrade armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior it is best to focus on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or spell power. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll still be wearing at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use to fight the final boss, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask. You can also gain advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll generally want to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll be using to beat the game. For instance, the Longsword or Battleaxe. But it's useful to have a few upgrades to the armor on your chest and helmets to allow you to sneak around some monsters. Potions Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, provide the player with a temporary effect. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded, enhancing their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone. Potion upgrades cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a crafting table or the Alchemist's chest. However, the upgrade price changes depending on what kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity. To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and select the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI which allows you to choose the potion that you want to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll give you when upgraded. upgrade item can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time, and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have. Once a potion has been upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again, or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will also allow you to change its name. There were a few changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. For instance splash potions now have the duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display of the item). The potion table is now made of four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be used in cauldrons. Similarly, using a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the liquid and refills the bottle. Finally, there are simmering potions that are made with dragon breath and splash potions. Similarly, a lingering potions can be enhanced by adding redstone. The table of potions is organized more closely to the Java Edition, and new potions were added such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions. Trinkets A trinket could be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece of jewelry. It could also be an object or ornament that serves a purpose, but isn't essential, like a trinket. In certain cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize friendship or affection, especially between family members. In addition to weapons, armor and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be obtained by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. In contrast to other upgrades for items trinkets, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their status. Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be bought with tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets. item upgrade to trinkets are an economical alternative to buying new ones. One can upgrade a trinket with as little 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as older one, and come with an additional upgrade bonus of 1. Trinkets can be upgraded when they are not needed which allows a player to increase their power and value over time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold. Players should upgrade their most essential items first. This usually means the best-in-slot items for their class, followed by their secondaries, and finally other gear items that will not be replaced soon (for instance rings or cloaks). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade. For instance, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tanks it is recommended that they upgrade their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and helm. Trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher ilvl once they're no longer needed, and the new trinket will receive an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. A re-upgrade, however, will cause the trinket to be destroyed unless it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
