The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab. He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, focusing on robot vacuums and mopping combos. Multitaskers are an excellent choice for those looking to remove mopping from their list of things to do. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean. The Eufy S1 Pro If you're looking for a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to look for. It is smaller than other models and makes it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, gives it one of my top navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery which lasts up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through cleaning. It's extremely quick and does a great job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms extremely quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways in one go. The suction motor's 8,000pa makes short work of picking up sand, dirt and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help draw away debris from corners. The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop rotates at a high speed and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scraping away dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arms stick out slightly more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be employed to clean larger objects, such as broken toys and fallen books. Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is simple to install, and it works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum for mopping, you will need to pay attention to this. The Roborock Q Revo The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible, and customizable cleaning machine. The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and also find furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and efficiently. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning and is also quick. In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching many different surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other hard to reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. In addition the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to avoid build-up and lessen odors. App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the amount of suction and select between a back-andforth, or a more randomized pattern. You can also select the number of passes which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also turn off the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rugs. The device is costly, but has many smart features. It is important to keep in mind, however, that the device incurs recurring expenses in the form mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months. This robotic vacuum cleaner has an excellent rating on Amazon and offers a wide range of physical automation features. This includes a power button that doubles as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that sends it back to its base station once it has completed its cleaning task. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads. The Shark Matrix Plus The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. It is a powerful machine with intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it easy to keep your home clean with minimal effort. The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop, which means it can handle mopping and vacuuming. robot vacuum cleaners is divided into two components which include a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which is equipped with microfiber pads. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned but they're a good thing because that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the water tank. The Matrix Plus performed well at both vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to keep certain areas of your home from being swept with mop. The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting hair of pets. It was able to collect the majority of hair our cats shed and even was able to get into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels were low, and there were some pleasant jingles to inform you that it was beginning and finishing its work. The app was too easy and you had to switch the modules each time you switched between vacuuming and mops. The app cannot keep multiple maps. This could be an issue if your home has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot that is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The Yiko X1 Omni The X1 Omni is the most expensive robotic vacuum that is able to mop in our review, however it has some distinct features that make it worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock, which doubles as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically emptys. The base comes with a few control buttons that allow you to manually begin a cleaning task or recall the robot, or run the dock's automatic emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock that is a great touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum. Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems. Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you free it. Although this is not a common occurrence, it was a frustrating experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni does not come with an "stuck" status alert in its app. The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold. The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy models.
