The Joie Roomie Glide is a bedside crib that lets parents sleep together with their baby while ensuring they're sleeping safely. The smooth gliding motion of the Joie Roomie Glide can help calm your baby and its unique features let you monitor your child without having to leave your bed.

The cot's slide-away side panel raises and lowers at the press of an button, making it easy to reach inside and soothe a baby at night. It also has 11 height adjustments that allow it to accommodate the mattress of nearly any size bed. It also has adjustable folding feet to ensure it sits at just the right height.

In terms of safety the cot is cushioned and has mesh sides for better ventilation, while its mattress is made of high-density foam for additional protection. It's also washable which means you can keep the crib clean. It comes with a fitted bed sheet that can be used for the crib.

The Roomie Glide, unlike some other cribs for bed, is compatible with most beds including divans. This is because of the clips and straps that connect to it. It can be used as a stand-alone crib if it isn't connected to the bed. It is packed with incredible features that were designed with the idea of parent-child bonding in mind.

One thing to keep in mind is that even though this crib is perfect for infants, it will not last long after your baby turns six months old, so you will require a bigger cot. However, overall Roanna thought that the Joie Roomie Glide was a very good purchase and she especially liked its elegant design.

John Lewis sells the Roomie Glide for PS160. Roanna thought this was a reasonable price for an item. She liked how it was positioned in her bedroom, and thought its gray color would be appropriate for most modern homes. However, she did point out that it isn't an ideal idea to rock a smaller baby because it can set a bad habit for later sleep patterns.

The Tutti Bambini CoZee

The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to give you a good night's rest. It has a drop side rail that can be easily removed for feedings at night without having to disturb your little one or get them out of bed - it's ideal for breastfeeding mothers! It's also lightweight and easy to move around during nap time or when traveling.

We love that it's constructed of soft fabrics with mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and comfort. It's available in charcoal and oak and has a variety of melange fabric options that work well with a variety of decor styles. Anna found that it was sturdy and secure after being affixed to her bed. The legs slid into place and the zippers were secured to ensure security. It took her about 10 minutes to put together and didn't require tools, with clear instructions and a video or customer support number if you encounter any problems.

Alongside the usual features you'd expect from a bedside crib, like being able to connect to your existing bed with a stay-in-place connection system and six height levels The CoZee also comes with an additional incline option which can be used to help aid congestion or reflux in babies. It's also machine-washable, a must for all the dribbles, vomit and snot that comes with having a new baby!

If you want to keep your baby close to you during the first six months of their life when they're beginning to learn to sleep independently The CoZee is a great option as it can also be used as a stand-alone cot, changing table or toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed with the addition of an extension pack. While it will not feed your baby or magically make them sleep it will gently rock them and send them off!

The Chicco Next2Me Magic


This is one of Chicco's more expensive options, but it is packed with lots of features. It can be used either a side-sleeper, or a standalone crib and is suitable for babies from birth to six months. It is easy to open and close the side panel with a brand new mechanism. It is also more adjustable than the previous model, with 11 different height settings and legs that retract to fit underneath any bed.

Our testers were impressed by the ease of access provided by the side panel that can be moved up and down with one push of a button. This was a huge help during feeding times at night because it meant they could easily reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them.

It's a co-sleeping crib that can be attached securely to your bed and can be transformed into a stylish cot once your baby is old enough. Perfect for nighttime feedings and enhancing your bond with your new born.

Contrary to other models of bedside crib like the Shnuggle Air is built with breathability in mind. Its dual-view mesh sides as well as airflow mattress that is breathable and hypoallergenic maximize airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. The gentle incline helps reduce colic and reflux. The zip-down side allows you to feed your baby, or even comfort them during the night.

The kit for converting cots is also well designed, with clear instructions. It comes with everything you need. It took us about an hour to assemble, and was reasonably straightforward. It's also great for parents who want to avoid the stress of getting into and out of a traditional cot or placing their child down to sleep.

In our tests, we found the gliding motion of this next to me crib to be particularly beneficial in lulling babies back to sleep after feedings at midday and in the evening. The drop-down sides make it easy to feed or soothe babies during the night. This was a big selling point for our exhausted test mums. Although it doesn't rock, or have extra features like an audio system the Joie Roomie Glide's sleek design and functional features are a welcome addition our best bedside crib reviews.
