The Band Toto Asia

Toto was expanding its production facilities abroad, and doing business in France and Germany, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan, Thailand and the People's Republic of China. The company believed that North America as a growth market for Washlet bidets and toilets, as opposed to its "base" markets of Japan and China.

Dhaniram Toto was documenting Toto words to ensure the future generations could comprehend the words. Many words were replaced by foreign ones. For example, dui, which is Bengali for verandah was being used.

Origins

Incorporated in 1917, Toto's early years were a mirror of Japan's economic development. In ??? ??? of 1917, Toto manufactured products to meet the growing demand for modern, new urban housing. To do this, it employed the first tunnel kiln in the country that produced ceramics in continuous flow. It also pioneered automation to allow production control, which helps to increase efficiency and a more consistent production.

In the latter half of the 1980s, the company began expanding overseas in order to take advantage of sales and new markets. It created the Cera Trading Company, importing and distributing other products from other manufacturers to complement its own line of sanitary earthenware and plumbing fittings. This strategy increased sales and expanded the firm's market share in the world.

In the 1990s, Toto began to concentrate on research and development of water-related appliances. It also upgraded its distribution system to better serve its customers and improve profit. The company embraced a just-in time approach to supply chain management and used the same approach in its sales strategy. This resulted in a greater level of customer satisfaction.

Toto continues to invent toilet technology. Its latest toilet, for instance, has an extremely powerful tornado flush that is more environmentally green than traditional toilets. Toto also makes use of recycled water in its manufacturing process and has a green purchasing policy. In addition to toilets, Toto manufactures bathtubs and faucets and hand dryers that are more energy efficient than standard models.

The first museum of the company opened in the year 2015 It has exhibits on Toto's most iconic products and their evolution, its group companies (all that deal with ceramics) as well as the history of plumbing and other products such as bath units, and in a separate gallery, Toto products sold around the world. The museum also has a bathroom that includes a WASHLET toilet and other toilet-related innovations.

Before the formation of Toto, members of the group performed session work for many musicians. Keyboardist David Paich, drummer Jeff Porcaro, and guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather all played on the album Silk Degrees by Boz Scaggs. They also performed on albums by Steely Don, Seals and Crofts and Sonny and Cher.

Discography

With a name as evocative as Asia one would expect the group to be prog kings and queens but they're actually a pretty straight forward rock group. The group started out as a group and released two albums - 1979's self-titled debut album and 1980's Armed to the Teeth. But even though the band have a diverse musical background, their biggest success was achieved in 1982 with Toto IV.

The album was a major blockbuster but not without its issues. The record companies placed the band under pressure to release an album that was a success or they would drop the album. Luckily for Toto they delivered with the aid of the smash single "Africa."

Toto's musical mastery owes a lot to their previous experience in the music industry, as the band members had been session musicians for artists like Boz Scaggs, Steely Dan, and Seals and Crofts prior the group. Their distinctive sound has become the standard of the '80s, and has influenced many contemporary artists.

The album opens with a strong and pounding sound with tracks like Running Out of Time and Unknown Soldier showcasing the bands ability to write great AOR songs that slowly work their hooks into your mind. However, the album also includes some slower, more jazzy tracks such as The Little Things and Chinatown. The album closes with Great Expectations. This song is a mix of folk and distorted AOR that could sound completely wrong but actually works extremely well.

After Toto IV, the band's fortunes began to decline. David Hungate left to concentrate on his solo career, and the band went through numerous drummers. In 1984, Bobby Kimball left the group due to drug charges. The band continued to play with Michael Porcaro, Steve Lukather and Michael Porcaro.

Toto released Isolation despite the turbulence. It wasn't as well-liked as IV. The band was able to release an album that was chart-topping, Kingdom of Desire, in 1992. The album marked the end of the original Toto lineup and was also the first album featuring a new singer, Simon Phillips.

Tours

The band has performed across the globe to an crowd of millions, with sold-out shows in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia and New Zealand. The band has a vast repertoire, and its catalog has been heard over a billion times on streaming services across the world. The band's iconic music has influenced multiple generations of fans.

Steve Lukather has forged a rich, deep friendship with Joe Williams that is flourishing professionally around the globe. In 2018, the duo celebrated 40 years of Tours Around The Sun with an incredibly successful tour around the world. The album with the same name landed at #5 on the Billboard 200. The band's latest tour includes their most popular songs, rarely performed live deep-cuts and some songs from Lukather's and Williams catalogs.

Line-up

The band's third album, Turn Back, marked a return to the classic sextet style of the previous albums. It was a more powerful, constant effort with an edge that was more pronounced than Hydra. The more edgy sound of the album was indicative of the maturation of group and featured drummer Bobby Kimball's increased proficiency on the drums, as well as a more mature, confident vocal delivery from singer Joseph Williams. David Paich's keyboard playing was also sharper, more complex, and less derivative on previous efforts.

After touring to promote their album, the band recorded the band's Amsterdam live concert that was released by Eagle Records as a 2-CD set titled Falling In Between. A new studio album was released a few months later, and the band embarked on a long-distance tour to promote it. During this time, keyboardist Greg Phillinganes filled in for Paich, and bassist David Hungate left the group to spend more time with his family.

In 1998, Paich and Lukather started looking through old demos and tapes in search of a new album featuring songs that were never recorded before. It was completed in 2001 and released as a double album called Then and Now. It was the band's first album that did not contain the single track "A". The album also included a previously unreleased track "Kari-Anne".

By 2003, Toto had begun to decline in popularity. The group's fourth album, Old Is New, was a commercial failure, and the vocalist Williams was suffering from a serious laryngitis infection which limited his singing capabilities. In addition, Hungate returned to Nashville and drummer Leland Sklar was replaced by Shem von Schroeck.

Downes, Wetton Palmer and Howe, the founding members of Asia The original Asia members met in England in the early part of 2006 to discuss the possibility that the band could be revived. The group, which was missing Howe who was occupied with Yes at the period, was later renamed Toto XIV. They toured extensively.

In 2010, the band reunited for another reunion tour with a slightly different line-up, including guitarists Mike Porcaro and Steve Lukather, drummer John Pierce, bassist Shannon Forrest, and multi-instrumentalists Warren Ham and Dominique Taplin. The group also had the appearance of singer Michael McDonald, and a backing singer named Mabvuto Carpenter.
