TOTO Toilets Help Consumers Navigate the New Normal

The COVID-19 epidemic has brought a new standard to the lives of many. TOTO makes use of its technology to aid people in navigating this New Normal.

Toto's philosophy is based on the Kaisen principle which translates to "perfection". Their newest toilet, the WELLNESS TOILET, utilizes advanced sensing technology to aid in consumer wellness.

Water Sense Technology

The EPA-approved, WaterSense labeled plumbing fixtures can help save water and energy while delivering secure, reliable performance. TOTO USA is one of the first companies worldwide to receive the WaterSense Label for its EcoPower flush valves and commercial flushometers.

Our Aquia IV Dual-flush Toilet is a great example for a high-efficiency bathroom fixture. It consumes just 1.28 gallons of water for each flush. This is less than 1.6 Gallons needed to meet EPA standards. The Aquia IV also features TOTO TORNADO FLUSH technology which reduces the frequency of cleaning bowls and the necessity for additional flushes, further decreasing its environmental footprint.

Another method of reducing water usage is to install a low-flow showerhead, which reduces the amount of water required while bathing or washing. Our high-efficiency Showerheads are WaterSense Rated and feature the latest technologies to ensure top performance.

In an era where water shortages are common, limiting water usage is vital. TOTO's EcoPower technology, which is used in our Aquia IV toilet and our NEXUS one-piece toilet, helps reduce the amount of water we use by using only 1.28 gallons of water per flush to remove waste.

The elongated toilets from TOTO are certified by the EPA to be high-efficiency. They come with a round or elongated bowl with an height that is ADA-compliant, ranging from 17-19 inches. We also offer an elongated, compact toilet that is ideal for small spaces and only uses 0.9 grams of water per flush.

TOTO's bidet wands are the most popular in the market for office and home use. These are not only more affordable than toilet paper, they also provide a better clean and leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. The NEXUS Bidet uses our EWATER+ Technology, which is created by electrolyzing tapwater into the form of a solution containing sodium chloride ions. This creates an effective disinfectant that kills viruses, bacteria and other pathogens, while leaving your skin and the environment unharmed.

ADA Compliant

You might find the terms "ADA compliant" and "universal height", but not all toilets that are universal height are ADA compliant.

The ADA standards set by the Americans with Disabilities Act are designed to accommodate people of all abilities and ages that include those with mobility issues or lower body strength. By including these standards into their products, Toto ensures that their customers will have the bathroom experience they want with the added benefit of convenience of use.

TOTO's ADA-compliant toilets feature an all-in-one design that instantly beautifies any bathroom and provides a functional advantage over traditional two-piece designs. TOTO's one piece designs simplify cleaning by removing the gap between bowl and tank. TOTO's Eco UltraMax toilets also have a high-efficiency flushing system that uses less water. ????? ??? are water efficient and require less than 1.28 gallons of water for each flush.

Two-Piece or One-Piece Design

Many who have traveled to Japan have praised the efficiency and comfort of the Toto toilets they have used during their stay. The WASHLET+ line of bidets has completely changed the experience of using the toilet from wiping into a stream of water. Many people are turning to this better option.

Noise Reduction

In the United States, bathrooms are usually situated near bedrooms, so toilets that keep the noise to a minimum are particularly popular. It combines a slim rimless bowl that requires only water with a powerful spray of warm air that cleans and dries the skin TOTO's toilets have been described as "magical."

While Japan embraces its technological achievements however, it also has a deep appreciation for the humble toilet. The Toilet Museum in Japan, which debuted in 1998, blends these characteristics to encourage people to rethink their toilet habits. A toilet motorbike powered by poop, and other witty exhibits are meant to highlight the message of the museum that TOTO products are not just efficient and environmentally friendly, but also sustainable.

The museum also displays the company's history of innovations, from the first flush to the aeration technology that reduces waste up to 90% and uses less water than traditional toilets. The Washlet is also on display in this area. It makes use of a jet to clean and dry the user while also obscuring the sound of the toilet using bird-like sounds.
